She may have lost her costume, but she's never lost a fight!Kekko Kamen is an anime that is not going to appeal to everyone. It is set in the 'Big Toenail of Satan's Spartan Institute of Higher Education. If the pupils bisbehave or underachieve in any way they are subject to humiliating sleazy torture. With the headmaster being the biggest pervert on campus, the punishment seems to only apply to female students. When Maumi becomes subject to these depraving punishments, she is saved (with not many of her clothes in tact) by the naked heroine and keeper of justice 'Kekko Kamen'.

br /When you read a synopsis for a film like this, you know that it's going to be silly. And that's exactly what it is, but instead of the film trying to be serious, it instead takes the mick out of itself and never takes itself seriously. This applies to the brilliant slogun on the DVD cover 'she may have lost her costume. But she's never lost a fight'.
br /Kekko Kamen is not to be taken seriously on any level. If you do take it seriously you're likely to get offended or disgusted. These 4 episodes push the censorship issues to the limit and blur the line between comedy and good taste. However, Kekko Kamen is absolutely NOT hentai. On the contrary it's more of a parody of it.
br /To really get the most of this you have got to be a little bit twisted or crazy otherwise you're just going to get offended. If you're note either of those two things then you're not going to enjoy it. I'd recommend for fans of puni puni poemy and excel saga (well the last episode of it anyway). However, Kekko Kamen is no where near as funny but It has it's moments such as Kekko Kamen's 'epic' finishing move.

br /The animation is pretty average and the music and voice acting is nothing special. It's worth a watch to get a few laughs but it offers not much else. While it lasts, it is quite fun to watch as it is one of those titles that is so bad that it's funny, but don't expect to come back to this one after you've watched it... File under possible guilty pleasure?

This cartoon is a classic, but NOT this version!!!I remember seeing this classic Manga way back, and it was one of the funniest manga cartoons ever, thanks to the hillarious dubbing, and so without hesitating, I brought this DVD hoping to relive memory times, but was actually disappointed when I heard that all voices had been re-dubbed. Why do they do this? First it was martial arts movies that have been re-dubbed and now its the anime.
br /
br /The anime itself is pure classic, basically it involves this schoolgirl Mayumi Takahashi that keeps getting tormented by her pervious headmaster and tutor, until a masked avenger known as "Kekko Kamen" shows up and saves the day. This Kekko Kamen is one of a kind (as far as avengers go) as she not only kicks butt, she uses her bare body as a weapon to finish off her victims.
br /
br /Again as stated the dubbing has been changed making all the characters sound different from its video counterpart. In the VHS version, the second episode involves a massive bodybuilder who is obviously another opponent for Kekko Kamen, who states his name as "Arneld Schwarzenegger" (one of the most funniest bits ever) but in this DVD version, the muscleman is known as Shogoto!
br /
br /On the plus side, the DVD does show additional scenes that the cassette version never showed, and includes the first four episodes (the cassette only had episodes 1 and 2).
br /
br /If your thinking of watching it, I would advise looking for the cassette version though as the dubbing on that version is pure gold, but this one leaves much to be desired.
