Yet another smooth jazz guitar album
Once you've got hooked on Chieli Minucci, his masterful standards of composing, arranging, recording, producing and, of course, playing, become the standards by which by which you tend to judge all other albums by smooth jazz guitarists. And this one is only so so, it has to be said, despite a bit of help on the production front here and there from the redoubtable Jeff Lorber and Paul Brown. br / br /It's okay, I guess, with appearances from a few moderately well known folk such as Gary Meek, Michael White, Michael Lington and Freddie Fox but overall it's nothing memorable. Just another album by a smooth jazz guitarist in extremely crowded territory. The track Slammin' stands out, but the rest is merely unremarkable, albeit competent. Worth having, I guess, if you can get it cheap, but not worth going out of your way to acquire.
