DescriptionThird album from Wakefield's finest exports, The Cribs. A more polished effort than their previous two albums, but if anything the production work from Franz Ferdinand's Alex Kapranos only serves to highlight the songwriting abilities of the band. Includes the singles 'Men's Needs', 'Moving Pictures' and 'Our Bovine Public'.

Most played. My wife, son(likes Michael Jackson)and daughter(likes high school musical)will all listen to this album.Which is a rare thing. After over a years listening it still seems to get better and could replace Joy Divisions 'Still'as my most played album.
I've read the production criticised in a couple of reviews, but the rawness is perfect for a Cribs record.I'm amazed it wasn't even nominated for an NME award but as Ryans probably saying "who cares".
Long live The Cribs!

Crib-cellentWithout doubt the finest album of its generation. In a period when every man and his dog starts their own provincial band, with local accent - here is a band who have produced a full album without a bad track in sight. Unlike most of the contemporaries, The Cribs have produced a knock-out album which delivers from the first track to the last.
Yes, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but rest assured in a head to head battle with the offerings of The Enemy, Pigeon Detectives, Kooks, Wombats - the referee would stop the fight in Round One. Simply put its streets ahead of the alternatives!!!

The Cribs Reviewprior to this my only knowledge of the this band, was when one its members, at the nme drunkly jumped on a table and had to be taken to hospital, but I never bought any, or heard any of their music. my first musical encounter was the track man needs, which was one of my favorite singles of last year.
The rest of this album is equally as strong, it also contains one of the best lines of the year "that because I'm empty from MTV" Genius!

Ticks all the right boxes- Brilliant *****This album for me is amazing and it comes from the most underrated band around! I was eagerly anticipating the third album having purchased their other two. It did not let me down. It's totally full of hits- I really am at a loss as to why these guys aren't the biggest band around. Anyway, a lot of crap out this yr but this def ticked my box!

Good but gets repetitiveThere is no denying that this is a good album that is filled with some good quality songs. The start of the album starts off brilliantly but by the time it ggets to the track Womans Needs, it starts to lose polish and just trails off.
However, like I said, the start is fantastic. Our Bovine Public, Mens Needs, Moving Pictures are brilliant songs that should get this band some recognition.
A good album but my hopes are high for the fourth.
