Tecknet flash memoryRead other reviews before buying this product so i expected a product a lot more impressive than it really is. Sure delivery was quick , very well packaged , but item itself is a bit flimsy and there is a lot of hissing on music playback whatever FM station you decide to line up to. Tried product, very unhappy , i think the people from Tecknet must have written the other reviews i read here on Amazon because they don't match up with my findings.Don't make the mistake that i did, by the way also over inflated postal charge also.

Astounding device answering my in-car audio needsThis device is simply first class. I have tried a few of the cheaper devices before but this is in a different league. The clarity is wonderful, stereo separation perfect and above all the ability to attach a flash drive via the USB port once and for all prevents me from the expense of upgrading my in-car audio. I can listen to 300 tracks, either alphabetically or randomly and I can choose whatever frequency I want to and without any interference. Of course if I wanted to, I could attach an SD card or a myriad of MP3 players.
As for the remote control, this is highly useful for selecting specific tracks and changing the EQ.
Downsides? None that I can think of. Using a flash drive, the device will remember the last file I listened to but will start at the beginning. I can live with that.
Quite simply, this product is brilliant and is sold at a bargain price. After years of trying different devices I have finally found the perfect answer to my in-car audio needs.

Things other reviewers left outGreat product when you get it to work, but this took me a while because I wish I'd known:
- if you're not used to using your cigarette lighter as a power source, you need to know to push and wiggle this gadget quite hard so that it makes a connection. It doesn't damage the gadget and if you find it is not getting any power, you haven't pushed it in hard enough.
- It does play straight from a memory stick, you don't need an MP3 player, BUT, the memory stick must be less than 4MB.
- Read all the reviews and print out any with any instructions for how to use it. This is a great product but the minimal instructions it comes with are worse than useless.

Absolutely brilliant with a few nigglesMy view is that this is a wonderful piece of kit, does what it says on the tin, plays MP3s from an SD Card, memory stick or separate MP3 player with minimum set up and no additional trailing wires. The packaging is superb, delivery quick, the instructions minimal but adequate and the low price is the icing on the cake.
However there are a few niggles which I didn't pick up from reading the previous reviews which have dropped the score to 4 out of 5 and which I'll mention here in case they are important to others.
Not all cards are compatible and there appears to be no clear pattern although smaller cards are more likely to work. The spec says up to 2Gb but that's not the full story. For example, from my collection:
Kingston Micro 256 Yes - (with adaptor)
Sandisk Extreme II 2Gb Yes
Sandisk Extreme II 1Gb No
pqi 2Gb Yes
Silicon Power 2Gb No
D-Tec 1Gb No
There appears to be a limit of 514 tracks on a card that will be played (other tracks will be ignored).
The only way to reach tracks 300 to 514 is by continual pressing of the Next Track button
Tracks ripped from CD using Real Player's Variable Bit Rate are unlistenable (They sound like a Dalek speaking underwater!)
There is sometimes a whine in the sound from the engine but this may be because my car has a rear-mounted aerial.
There is no fast forward, only a next/ previous track which makes short journeys tedious as it keeps restarting the same track and as I bought it to play audio books skipping forward misses a bit of the story.
In summary then, for long journeys, with a carefully selected SD card, properly ripped tracks and a story with less than 514 tracks overall nothing can beat it, especially for the price, although as another reviewer noted the TA announcements have to be switched off to stop the radio from complaining that it can't get a traffic signal.
Plugging a separate MP3 player into the side removes most of the above issues but introduces more wires and the need for an extra power source.

Very good! This FM MP3 Modulator is a great value for money kit. Does exactly what I wanted. I can now listen to all my favourite songs from my USB flash pen drive. It works with both 2 and 4 GB. The only downside is that there are no any instructions how to use it, so you have to guess how it works best. Sound quality is not always perfect but still very good. I would recommened this product to everybody.
