This film is a love story, and an adaptation from a very good book. I dont care about football, but I'm a Colin Firth fan, and I trully enjoyed this film. Entertaining, and at the same time, complex and intelligent. Really good work. Understated film.
First of all, you do need to be an Arsenal fan. I can't imagine sitting through a similar film about Tottenham.
For fans of a certain age this film brings back all the memories of the 1988/89 season. You will probably recognise yourself in many of the scenes as I did.
