Fantastic!!
The first single taken from their 'Damage' album, Overkill is a powerful reminder of why Kosheen are still here. Kosheen are back and sounding fantastic. A little bit of 'Resist', a little bit of 'Kokopelli' and of course sounding very fresh and new - Overkill is, for me, the best single release this year.

Overkill takes the rockier elements of 'Kokopelli', and the powerful vocals so widely praised on 'Resist', with a killer electro-synth chorus. Combined with the beats of Decoder & Substance, what more could you need?

The B-side 'Freaks Of Nature' is completely worth the purchase, a song so good it could have made the album.

I totally recommend it, welcome back Kosheen.

Is It Over Now? The Wait For Kosheen's Comeback Sure Is!
Since making its debut in the Kosheen live shows back in 2004, Overkill is the fantastic brand new single taken from the eagerly awaited 3rd album "Damage" (due out in September). Along with the wonderfully dark vocals of lead singer Sian Evans, Overkill mixes the rockier sound from Kokopelli whilst adding a electro-synth sound around it. I feel this gives Kosheen a fresh, unique style to their music and it's something different that people can enjoy listening to when Damage comes out.

From the live shows I've been to, Overkill has been given a very good reaction from the crowds. Kosheen have always been a band that never gets given the recognition they deserve and with a good, strong comeback single like Overkill, I hope the critics can stand up and finally take notice. Welcome back Kosheen!

is it over now?
It's been a long wait since we've heard any beats from the kosheen camp.
Finally overkill is the first single to be released from their 3rd album Damage, and let me tell you, it's one hell of a tune.
With it's sketchy beats at the start to the brain infectious electronic sounds in the chorus.... It may irritate you at first, as it did with me but my how it's grown and poisoned my little mind.
As with any kosheen song, the band are able to take traditional song writing verse, chorus, verse etc, give it a little tweek and add that special Kosheen sound, with Sian's beautiful vocals and Darren and Markee's beats to result in something quite magical.

Overkill, Is it over now?
I don't think so.
Great to hear you again.
