Great Starter Kit
My first guitar as a newbie and i cant fault it. DVD is easy to follow, amp is more than loud enough, guitar looks great and a stand to boot. Tuner works really well and is really easy to use. Have had no problems with the strings, as per a previous reviewer. More than happy to give this the full stars.

gd or bd guitar?
I bought this guitar hoping that it would be good enough for me to learn to play on, and simply, yes. This guitar is perfect for beginners and well anyone who plays guitar, it holds tuning very well though i would recommend bying a new tuner as it isnt very accurate. Before buying this guitar i read a previous review that stated that this guitar was on the heavy side after 8 months i'd say they were right, the guitar itself was quiet heavy but it might just be me. The accessories are a welcomed addition to the pack, when i 1st considered buying a guitar i thought it was going to cost alot for everything but this pack is perfect a bag, amp (not great but for the money its super if your playin in your room)and stand are all very nice. + the CD included is excellent for picking up basic chords.If your the short of person that isnt paritcularly bothered about the style of your guitar then i recommend buying the stratocaster version as a friend bought that one instead and it isnt heavy at all.

Good for Beginners
Like the previous reviewer, I also had made a quick decision to buy this guitar and was not disappointed. It looks the part and the action is perfect, for me. It stays in tune well too. I'd give it 4 and-a-half if I could. Overall great value for money.

It came with a few unexpected goodies too - there's an extra strap and bag in addition to the one listed. The amp is OK - fine for practising at home.

My only grumble is the strings - the E string is already kinked after only four days! So, I'm going to invest in a decent Fender set now.

Very good starter set
I was somewhat rushed into buying a guitar, and didnt really do my research on the subject - but having bought this, I dont think I made a bad choice.

Pros;
- The guitar looks very smart: the pick guard is somewhat unessential, and the guitar looks much better without it. For the price, it really does look nice.
- You get everything you need to start with; the case is a nice addition - handy for transport; the stand is nice, there is a tuner, which is basic, but adequate.
- After a little playing, the guitar holds tuning remarkably well.

Cons;
- The amplifier is very basic, and I do mean very. It cannot produce pinch harmonics at all - and it's not just me, my friends have tried it also, to no avail. It also cant handle higher volumes particularly well, but if you're just playing in a bedroom etc, the quality will be sufficient. I however, will be buying a better amp, as I would like to be able to hear my harmonics.
- Some say the guitar is very heavy; it's a bit on the heavy side, but nothing beyond manageable.
- No whammy bar, but no "Les Pauls" do.

Really, for the price you're paying, there is very little to feasibly critic about this guitar. £95 pounds for a whole set up, is not by any stretch of the imagination, a lavish amount to pay out for all this. My friend paid £140 for an Ibanez starter set, and the only real benefit of his set is the amp's ability to perform pinch harmonics; even so, his amp is still very basic.

All in all, a very nice set up, and brilliant if you're just starting to learn. If the amplifier had been a little better, this would have been a 5 star review, as for the price, the guitar is brilliant.
