excellent CPU cooler for price
My CPU started to reach critical temps with stock Intel heatsink and fan (78c at idle!!) so i decided a better cooling solution was needed, after some investigation decided to go for the Scythe mini ninja, which despite its name, is not that mini in size, its still big with a 11cm height (approx 13cm once installed on CPU)so you need to make sure you have enough space in your case before buying this. Essential!! - remove old thermal compund first using Artic silver articlean which is very good , the old thermal gumph comes away with no bother - but be very careful when removing old heatsink , my CPU was stuck to the old heatsink like superglue and i had to pull the heatsink out with some force and i managed to bend some pins on the CPU , but luckily i bent them back into shape and all was ok. Then apply your thermal paste or grease, i used Artic Silver 5 compound which is said to be one of the best. Installing the new heatsink was a bit fiddly due to the big dimensions of the mini ninja but once installed all was ok, it clips firmly into place. Once i fired up my PC and i checked the CPU temp is was showing 36c at idle which is a reduction of 50%. Also you dont need to use the supplied fan but for safety i did and its hardly noticeable.

All in all a very good cpu cooler for the money. Take the big size into consideration ,apart from that its a worthwhile purchase.
