'Keep your mind wide open!'
I watched this film one evening with exceptionally low expectations but I never realized it would touch me so deeply. I was bawling by the end so tissues are advised! People who have read the book will know what I'm talking about! The story is fairly basic and although the trailers/previews would have you believe it is just another `typical fantasy film' the reality is quite different. Do not listen to the critics and watch it yourself. You will either love it or hate it. Personally, I loved it. br / br /Josh Hutcherson and AnnaSophia Rob are perfect in their roles as Jesse Aarons and Leslie Burke. They are very likeable and have great chemistry between them. The first half of the film is fun and exciting and mostly happy. The second half is sad and depressing but necessary. I think everyone can relate to what Jesse and Leslie were going through at some point or another. Although it is a `fantasy' film, it is also very realistic and deals with some (serious) elements that most kids will (and can) relate to at some point or another. br / br /People (mostly parents) who are complaining about this film not being suitable for kids (and even teens) have got a point but they must understand that that the film is only following the book and if it had not, perhaps then it would not have been as good! That is what makes this film different from other fantasy films. It is realistic. What is wrong with that? It does not make the film bad. It just makes it better! If you are a parent and are that concerned, I would recommend watching it first to check that it is suitable or whatever. br / br /All in all, a very good film. Tissues are a must! 8.5/10 from me. br /

BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA (BLU-RAY)
the effects are brilliant,had never seen the film before until it was on the disney channel,the 2 main cast members work very well together which makes the film even better,would recommend it to anyone who loves fantasy and adventure films,the sound is dts or dolby digital depending on your sound system,worth buying on blu-ray not dvd,lots of extras on the blu-ray including the music video of the main song sung by annasophia robb,who plays leslie,the film is made by the people who made narnia which is why it is well made

Bridge to Terabithia
Well worth purchasing. A fantastic fantasy adventure that overcomes all sorts of obdstacles including bullying. Lots of imagination that leads you gently into a world of fantasy . It has a heartrending ending. Loved it.
