It was raining on Saturday. The kind of rain that keeps you indoors. So, I put on this. I'd rather watch the rain. Standard Danielle Steel fayre. Woman is widow with daughter, daughter meets man, introduces to mum, they don't get on, they do get on, mother gets shot, man declares undying love, they marry.
But please, what has Melissa Gilbert done to her poor face. Her lips are a la Leslie Ash and she is terrible. A long way from the cracking little actress of Little House. She bought into the Hollywood mantra of "plastic pleases" which in this case it does not. Brad Johnston sleepwalks his way through his part. And that's about it.
Don't even go there.
My wife and I had watched all of the previous Danielle Steele DVDs and were delighted to see a new release. We found it to be an excellent watch very much to the standard and very high quality of previous movies in this series.
The story was charming, sad, delightful and moving a superb movie on a slow Sunday afternoon. We would recommend this to anyone.
This is the first DVD by this author in a long time. It is still excellent watching and keeping within the quality we expect from Danielle Steel. I hope there will be many more DVD's of her books as I really enjoyed this one.
