Worth the money! We bought this vacuum cleaner after many years of fairly cheap ones, i looked at dysons but it seemed they were a bit hit and miss whilst the miele's reviews were consistently great. Yes its bagged but the best rating cleaners which are miele and sebo are always bagged.
br / Anyhow we bought this cat and dog one even though we dont have any animals just 3 little girls who can make a hell of a mess. My wife says it changed her life, it just sucks up everything and the motorhead attachment could probably remove paint its so strong. Made all our carpets look like they had been professionally cleaned.
br / All in all, dont skimp around just get this bad boy if you want the best.

Miele is the only vaccum make I'd buy ever againWe went from Hoover to Electrolux over the years and suction was never anything to write home about. Tried the bagless varieties...what a mess!
br /
br /Read some Miele reviews and decided to try our luck as the price certainly doesn't scream buy me.
br /
br /The first thing we noticed was that when turned on at full power, this vacuum stuck fast to the floor. It had the most powerful suction I'd ever experienced. Things were cleaner than they'd ever been before.
br /
br /Feels pretty solid, isn't any heavier than other canisters I've owned. I've got another 6 months of a two year warranty left, but if this machine ever dies it'll have earned its keep and I'll promptly get another Miele, possibly even the same Cat Dog or S5000 range.

br /If you've ever trusted an electrical appliance, review, trust the 100% positive ratings for the Miele vacuum.

Another Miele to believe inOur Dyson (a recent model with all the bells and whistles)was not picking up well on a longer pile carpet. After a thorough check it was no better so we decided to invest in the Miele. All those reviewers and "Which" can't be wrong. We have already bought a washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher from Miele this year so we were already very impressed with the brand. My wife has spent hours poring over the fat manuals and we'll soon need a shelf to hold them all! All the machines are a little technical(including the vacuum) and to get best use, it's best to swot up first. All the machines are very well made, excel at all they do, and the longevity will be a bonus

br /There's little to add beyond other reviewers. It cleans wonderfully and perhaps most surprisingly, it's as good as silent compared with any other machine we've used. We've only had uprights before and The Miele can get right into the corners. We're using it on less than full power and that is perfectly adequate so there's power in reserve. You don't have to have a pet to make this one worthwhile. It comes with a full range of attachments so is really multi purpose rather than pet specific.
br /
br /More up market (and therefore more expensive) models are more electronic with hand level controls, lights and electric power heads. In our opinion, all are probably unnecessary. The head on this model rotates under air power and does so very vigorously.
br /
br /We actually bought ours from MS on one of their 20% off days which made them the cheapest in the land. They had excluded large appliances but this is not in that category apparently. Usually they're dearer than other retailers, but the 20% made the difference. This model is not currently listed as available (Christmas 2008)so possibly just sold out.
br /
br /The only tiny negative is that Miele appliances are not cheap but viewed against whole life cost you get a lot for the money. Sadly the vacuum bags are not re-usable and they too are not the cheapest (and best not to scrimp on look a likes as even the bags look like part of the technical innovation). Overall, like other reviewers, greatly recommended.Ignore all the flashy promotion from Dyson and others and go for this one. You won't be disappointed

Quality productHave to agree with previous reviewers, this is truly an excellent vacuum. After all the hype went to the bagless variety years back but was never happy. As soon as you switch on the Miele and hear the motor pick up speed you can tell this vacuum is a class above. Slight irritation is the automated pop up bag cover to let you know its full.Trying to be a bit too clever here.
br /Excited about a vacuum - do I have a life!

Fantastic..Forget those HORRID Dyson' if you have lots of children a dog and not much time to push a vacuum cleaner about.. then this superb cleaner is for you. Really don't, look no further. It is a breeze to use.
br /I was a little unsure going back to a bagged cleaner, but it is outstanding for cleaning no matter what the surface. Socks beware !!
br /Check out the car cleaning kit available too.
