br /I prefer to use 'romantic' and 'throwaway'.
br /It's the perfect tonic to a week full of unwanted overtime and grumpy work colleagues!!
br /Personally, I go for entertainment first and gritty realism second.
br /Congrats to TigerAspect the beeb.

br /I'll always be watching ;)
brilliant! to see hear a different take on the sheriff to see that the merry men didnt live in tree houses, and to have no annoying thous or ye`s ,this is bang up to date excellent entertainment.he aint bad as robin either!
When this arrived I could not wait to watch all the episodes, I had not watched much of Season 1 so really didn't know what to expect, but what a treat. The DVD extras are bril, espically the Hood Acadamey, the actor commentaries are also good. Now I can watch and listen over and over again
Robin Hood for a new generation! This is is pop-corn tv at its worst, save your money and ignore this rubbish.
This must be the worst Robin Hood ever made. Do not waste your money on this poorly made series.

br /Purchased this on recommandations from Amazon, but was bitterly disappointed and after having suffered through 5 episodes I just couldn't endure it any longer and gave it up.

br /Jonas Armstrong does not make a believable Robin Hood, he simply lacks the experience and age. Richard Armitage (Guy of Gisbourne) would have been a far better choice. Even worse is Lucy Griffiths as Maid Marian with her 21st Century attitudes, make-up and hair style she comes across like a spoilt brat.

br /And they seem to have forgotten Friar Tuck.

br /Sorry BBC, but this is just not good enough. I suppose this was made with an American audience in mind, but for me this doesn't even give the illution of medieval Britain.
