Handy but not long lasting
I have never used a battery powered vac before so to be fair I cannot compare this with other products on the market. I love the Jetson styling - it looks like a ray gun from a fifties sci-fi movie! The suction power is impressive for a machine of this size and I have found the compact size means you are more inclined to use it. It does seem to run out fairly quickly so for example if you were to vac all the small bits in a double size room such as my kitchen diner it will run out so do not expect to do the whole house in one go! I also doubt that it would adequately clean your car interior on one charge. Dyson say six minutes use from one charge which takes about three hours. I think this is ideal as a backup for your main vac and saves hauling a heavy machine out for a small clean up. It's a shame they don't provide a second battery such as you would get with a battery drill - it would have got five stars in that case.

Only six minutes of battery life
I brought this to clean my car and needed good suction to remove clumps of mud, dog hair and grit. It certainly removed them and the motorised head which is not air powered but a separate electric motor which gets its power through two prongs just above the nozzle join is very good with its coarse and stiff bristles.

But what good is it when you can only get six minutes of use out of it. I figured I could just get a second battery and have that on charge while I vacuum with another battery - alas not! The only way to charge a battery is to couple it to the device and charge it. A major design oversight in my opinion.

I could forgive the six minute thing if the price was not so high and use it for spot cleaning as the suction and bristle are really good. But £95 is too much for very occasional spot cleaning in my opinion and not enough charge for a good car cleaning, which meant I returned the product and spend my £95 on a better portable vacuum cleaner! A token two stars for this product - good suction and good motorised head.

disappointed
Although this vacuum cleaner has excellent suction, the operating time of only 6 minutes, is not enough time to clean stairs or even the inside of my car.This cleaner should have a mains adaptor for longer jobs, which in my opinoion is most jobs. 6 minutes work every 3 hours is not good enough. Cat hairs no longer a problem!
I've only had this a day and can't wait for it to recharge. Yes it has a short 6 minute charge that you have to use wisely, but boy when it's ready it sucks up cat hair a treat. I've never seen my sofa so clean!

Bit expensive perhaps but my boyfriend loves the look of this and there is more chance of me having clean stairs etc with him wanting to use it because it looks so cool - shame it doesn't make shooting noises though, or you get a pair to fight with!

great little machine
As an owner of a couple of cats and having always found it difficult to get the stair carpet clear of cat fur- I ordered this machine with little real hope that it would be able to get fur easily off the carpet. However, charged it up for 3 hours, turned it on and hey presto, stairs cleaned of car fur easily with no real difficulty.
Would recommend this to anyone with pets as it does what it says- the rotating head attachment clears through carpet pile, its light and easy to use, its not too noise and charges easily. The instructions are a little unclear- only pictures with little text but did manage to figure the pictures out. That is pretty small negative though as on the whole it is user friendly and gives great results.
