Superb little cooler!
Belkin Laptop Cooling Stand

I have been looking online for a cheap laptop stand so I could use my Inspiron 1525 in bed and on my lap without frying my legs. After much searching online I decided to get the Belkin laptop stand.

The stand is lightweight and it has surprised me how much air the fan can move. After any amount of use the whole laptop would feel hot to touch but with the stand running it feels much cooler all over.

This is a superb little cooler which I'd recommend for those who need a cooler to use on your lap as well as on a desk.

One negative thing is that a 15" laptop is about the largest it would take so for those of you lucky enough to have a larger laptop it would be best to look elsewhere!

Excellent Product!
Before I purchased this Belkin cooling stand, my laptop graphics card was reaching dangerous temperatures (up to 96C). As anything over 85C can be a problem and shorten the life of your laptop, I had to do something. I bought this item hoping it would at least reduce temperatures by 5C (enough to keep my gfx card just about healthy enough for gaming sessions). However, I was surprised to find the temperature never exceeded an icy 79C! Great product, well worth the money. The only faults are: doesn't have extra usb ports like other cooling stands, the build quality isn't exceptional (but it doesn't feel flimsy) and it's fairly noisy (however, I only turn it on when playing games, so this isn't an issue). Overall, brilliant item, and great value for money.

Just What I Needed!
I own a 14.1" HP laptop, which can get quite hot - so I bought this to prevent it overheating and getting damaged. It's a good size for me, but might be too small for a smaller laptop.

It works brilliantly, the fan really does it's job. However I rarely need to use the fan, just the shape of the stand keeps it cool. The fan is relatively noisey - sounds like a desktop pc - but as soon u start listening to music, watching telly etc you can't hear it.

Only downside is it doesn't give you extra USB ports like some others do. But if like me you seldom use the fan this won't be a problem, or you could just get a USB hub.

Not bad
I bought this stand on a whim as my macbook was getting rather hot from overuse. It does exactly what it says, it keeps the laptop cooler, the fan appears to be very effective, blowing air onto the bottom of the laptop rather than trying to suck air away like many other coolers. All good thus far, however i will now be buying an ilap stand i think. The problem for me was that the fan was a bit too noisy, its not awful, but macbooks make no real noise so its very noticeable. In addition to this the stand, though not badly made, feels a little cheap and i know that given a bit of travelling i would have knocked it to pieces before too long. Finally the battery drain with the fan running is a little frustrating. If the noise isn't a problem and if your laptop is just going to sit on your desk all the time this is a great stand, otherwise look elsewhere.

Very clever little item!
Having looked at all the options available-I chose the Belkin COOL FLOW ELEVATE stand mainly as it seemed both the best design in terms of practicality and was aesthetically pleasing. I have a 13" Sony VAIO and although I have had no real problems with overheating-I seem to be spending more and more time on my laptop (14+ hours a day) and noticed that it did get a little 'slow' when warm. Really good item-nicely designed and really, as my fellow reviewer states: 'does what it says on the tin!' .

One tiny criticism-a few extra USB ports built in would make this little gem perfect!
