Poor old Britney Spears hasn’t exactly had a good time of it lately, what with her recent lackluster MTV performance and dubious appearances all over the tabloids. iBlackout/i, her fifth studio album, is being touted as a bit of a comeback album, the title allegedly alluding to how she is "blacking out" all negative media coverage and focusing on getting back to form. Backed by an array of superstar beatmakers--Bloodshy Avant, Pharrell Williams, T-Pain, Danja--iBlackout/i presents a soundtrack that brims with trashy new-wave ‘nowness’. Tunes veer from the highly infectious "Freakshow" and "Toy Soldier" to the unconvincingly lascivious "Get Naked," "Ooh, Ooh Baby", and downright uninspiring ("Radar" and "Hot As Ice")--with some inroads into dirty disco ("Heaven on Earth") along the way. The tunes aren’t bad, but the brittle, robotic soundtrack does start to feel dated and dull, especially when Britney’s vocals are so intensely processed they feel equally starchy and disinterested. Comeback album it may be, but "Blackout" doesn’t point towards any clear future for Britney--nor for pop music in general. i--Danny McKenna/i

The best blackout ever!
I think this album is Britney's best album. Although it hasn't sold that much (only 2,200,000 copies worldwide which is nothing for Britney). The music is too dancy and makes you wanna shake to the groove. Bloodshy Avant who wrote Piece of me, Radar, Freakshow and Toy Soldier did their best work up-to-date. Also Danja writing Gimme more, Break the ice, Get naked (I got a plan) and more showed the world that Britney's music can be played in a club. br / br /Review: br / Design: 9/10 br / Lyrics: - (As always Jives Records don't add lyrics in the albums) br / Music: br / All songs are 10/10 apart from Hot As Ice, Perfect Lover and Why br / Should I Be Sad that are worth of 8/10. br / br /Also the international release omits some great tracks that exist in the Japanese version such as Everybody and Get back. br / br /It is way better that her new album "Circus" but no promotion, no party...

Cold as fire, hot as ice
Another great shot from Britney. When first listening to it i didn't like it so much but i am liking it more and more now. What I don't understand is why it is more expensive than Circus. This is one of her top ones, better than In The Zone but not as good as Circus. My favourite track is Break the Ice or Radar. br / br /Buy it - you will not be dissapointed!!

Gimme More - Funky - Catchy Kinda Tune - Good br /Piece of Me - Clever Summing up Britney's life with the press. br /Radar - Funky - Synthesised Voiced Song - ( A fave) br /Break the Ice - Cool Sound!!! - (One of her best on the Album) br /Heaven Earth - Smooth Beauty little Song. br /Get Naked (I got a plan) - Freaky Cheeky little number. br /Freakshow - Sounds Quite Punky - But Cool br /Toy Soldier - Punky Tune br /Hot as Ice - ( Catchy Anthemy Chorus - Another Fave) br /Ooh ooh Baby - bouncy little gem of a song Love it!! br /Perfect Lover - Sexy Seductive Track br /Why Should I be sad - Immediately recognisable on the 3rd listen, Catchy! br /

Really catchy beat i love it
I have never been keen on britney spears. However this album has won me over. I really love her new style I think that she has definately improved wit age and life experience. This albums got attitude and is brilliant

Now This Is A Blackout
Britney has done some really good work on this album, br / br /1. Gimme More - Amazing track but it seems that it has been dragged out for 4 minutes with all that rubbish near the end but still amazing. 10/10 br / br /2. Piece Of Me - Another really good song in the album, i cant see why it didnt get to number 1. 10/10 br / br /3. Radar - Now most people know that this song was taken from this album and put onto her next album circus but either way its still a catchy and good tune. 10/10 br / br /4. Break The Ice - I would say that this is a really good dance tune. 10/10 br / br /5. Heaven On Earth - This song seems really dull and boring but you get use to it straight away and then you love it. 10/10 br / br /6. Get Naked ( I Got A Plan) - AMAZING, GREAT. There isnt really words to describe how good this song is, i think that it is the best on the album and the best song that she has ever done. I cant get my head round why she didnt bring this out as a single this would have been a an amazing track and would have got to number 1 no problem!! 10/10 br / br /7. Freakshow - At first this sounds terrible and is the worst song on the album but let me tell you, almost straight away you like it and then you see how good this song is. 10/10 br / br /8. Toy Soilder - I think is song is stupid and not really a song, i would say that it is the worst song on the album. 6/10 br / br /9. Hot As Ice - Another great piece of work that she has done with this song it is very catchy and cool. 10/10 br / br /10. Ooh Ooh Baby - By looking at the title you would think that its going to be rubbish one but its not, i thought the same thing when i saw it and when i listened to it i couldnt believe that it wasnt. 10/10 br / br /11. Perfect Lover - Sounds boring till you get use to it but after that you love it. Most people think that this is a rubbish song but believe me its not. 10/10 br / br /12. Why Should I Be Sad - This song is ok but not all that good relly. 7/10 br / br /Overall this is one hell of an album and the best so far, if only she would do one like this every time lol. Some real effort has been put into this, when you first hear it you will that its rubbish but you like almost right away. I would recommend that you buy it if you are thinking about doing because you wont be dissapointed. br / br / br / br /
