Dissapointing after a thirty year wait
After waiting about thirty years for a follow up to her debut 'Raw but Tender' album, Ms Whitren has not come up with the goods again on this rather dissapointing and somewhat boring album. Yes, the voice and the soul is still there but the whole album is just Ms Whitren singing to her own keyboard backing which I found after about four tracks began to drag a bit. Also the CD came in a cheap and nasty cardboard case which I literally had to rip open to get at the disc. Pity because 'Raw but Tender' was a classic that I still treasure and is now avaiable again on CD format.

What a voice!
Beautifully sparse interpretations of Van Morrison classics from 'Astral Weeks'. Plus original songs from this wonderfully talented artist. br /Jaki Whitrens' singing takes me to a higher plane!
