Amazon.co.uk ReviewIt takes a certain sort of band to fill Wembley stadium, one unafraid to embrace scale, flirt with pomposity, and perform the odd grand gesture. Watching Muse's live CD/DVD
H.A.A.R.P--recorded over two nights in June 2007--you're left wondering if Wembley is quite big enough to hold them. From the grand opening, when Muse ascend from an underground chamber and walk down a central ramp flanked by men in yellow chemical splash suits to Matt Bellamy's lengthy, florid turns at the grand piano, no opportunity is missed to make
H.A.A.R.P seem anything less than a spectacle. Shot in high definition, the camera-work is as snappy and dynamic as any movie blockbuster, with special attention to the crowd, who are picked out with sometimes breathtaking detail. Fans may gripe over the tracklisting--the DVD has been edited down, meaning four tracks, including "Bliss" have been left on the cutting floor–-but casuals should be satisfied with the selection: there's the hits ("Supermassive Black Hole", "Knights of Cydonia") and on the DVD, a noble rendition of Nina Simone's "Feeling Good".--Louis Pattison

Special Edition / Standard Edition?Just to make it clear, the difference between this version and the standard version are:
1: This version comes in a deluxe card box rather than the standard jewel case.
2: This version also contains 3 limited edition cards (one of each band member).
THIS VERSION DOES NOT HAVE EXTRA TRACKS AS SOME PEOPLE HAVE BEEN SAYING
therefore I would say that unless you are an absolute fanatic who has to have all the limited edition stuff then the standard edition is fine. On the Dvd itself the concert is excellent but a bit disappointed that the "backstage footage" is only 10 mins long. good though.

Blown away by Muse liveThere are so few bands out there than exceed your expectations, I got hold of a copy of hubaloo only a year ago as I started to "get" Muse. Once I watched it the mist opened and I saw something live which was far better then anything any other band has done in the last 10 years. I got tickets for the Cape Town concert of this tour and for an hour my senses were completly overawed by the Muse experience.
The DVD is not like being in the midst of a real Muse show but its a great copy...
Go see them live and then watch all the live DVD's and understand...

Bad DVD editingThere are far too many quick cuts away from Matt and the band, to crowd, LOADS of really high overhead shots which are fine once or twice to appreciate the ammount of people there but why 5 times per song?
The reading festival video was awesome as it stayed almost completely focussed on the stage so you could appreciate what you were watching instead of insanely quick cuts from guitar to sky to crowd to sky to 3 seconds of Matt.
Well you get the idea it kinda ruined it for me.
Thankfully the songs are still amazing, though they cut out some of the best ones.

Go for glasto!this dvd and cd package is a nice item to own if you are a muse fan. it contains all the hits (bar muscle museum, sunburn, bliss) which is a let down, but its WEMBLEY stadium! but at times the stadium looks like there are loads of seats empty and big gaps in standing. so did the show sell out? it didnt look like it did. as for the performance, its a good performance, but there is no magic. not like the absoultion dvd from glasto.
if you are looking to buy a muse dvd for magic, go for glasto, if you want the early days go for hullabaloo. if you want a nice momento, go for this one.

Bit of a LetdownHmm...A brave but ultimately lack-lustre package. Lots of tracks missed off of the DVD and CD (9 mins to spare on the CD could have included more material and the DVD format is wasted here). A dreadfully flat and dirgy soundmix on both the CD and DVD and some pretty crappy MTV generation camerawork that leaves you feeling sick rather than awestruck.
A real shame as I have seen this band live so many times, and every time they are amazing, it would be quite something to get a good live DVD of a Muse gig.
This isn't it.
