Amazon.co.uk Review
Often forgotten about in the Disney back catalogue, IThe Aristocats/I is actually a fun, lively feline adventure, with plenty of zest and some terrific tunes too. Arriving in the wake of IThe Jungle Book/I, it’s not vintage Disney, but it still sets itself a high standard. P IThe Aristocats/I is set in France in 1910, and tells the tale of a high society cat and her trio of kittens who are dumped into the backstreets of Paris by an angry Butler when they inherit a fortune from their owner. Here, they’re soon befriended by Thomas O’Malley (voiced by the unforgettable Phil Harris, who also lent his tones to Baloo in The Jungle Book) and a wild cast of characters, and it’s as much a cue as is needed for some jazzy tunes, fast-paced animation and a fun family adventure. P As the last film to have been supervised by Walt Disney before his death, IThe Aristocats/I inevitably has a significant place in the back catalogue at Disney HQ. Yet many still overlook it, and that’s a real shame. There are well-realised Parisian locations, a good few chuckles, and a genuinely strong soundtrack that’ll stick in your head long after the credits have rolled. It’s good, too, to see Disney finally give the film the special edition it richly deserves. --ISimon Brew/I

One of the best
There's so much to love about this movie- Phil Harris' delightful Thomas O Malley (-cat), the cute-as-anything-ever kittens Berlioz, Toulouse and Marie (best names ever), the trippy colours of the jazz scene, the racist Chinese cat, the dancing old man at the start of the film, the pair of (not French) dogs from the countryside, Roquefort the vigilant mouse (played by Stirling "Winnie The Pooh" Holloway), the designs, the music, everything, makes for a bona fide classic, less talked about than some of the other 70s Disney films. br / br /Kids'll love it, as will any fan of brilliant animation (the process itself, as well as the genre). Highly recommended.

Everybody wants to be a cat!
Although a Disney classic, unlike a lot of the Disney films this is one that will be appreciated more by the children than the adults, as a child I absolutely loved it. I find this film to be quite different in style to many of the other Disney films, the music in this is heavily influenced by jazz and the images are very different, presumably to copy the French theme. br / br /I think it's difficult to give an objective view of a Disney film as an adult as the films aren't aimed at you but I remember this fondly from my childhood when I would watch it again and again. br /

Everybody Wants To Be A Cat
I first saw this film at the cinema, when I was a little girl with my sister who had to drag me to see this film. I am so glad she did drag me as, this film as well as Robin Hood are absolutely fantastic to watch. br /The story draws you in straight away and the characters are all spot on. br /My personal favourite character is Thomas O' Malley and the little mouse that Duchess and her Children are friends with Roquefort. br /The songs are a joy to listen and watch too. br /This film is very humorous especially concerning Edgar. br /If you have not seen this film then please do as this film is fab to watch again and again. br /I give this film 10/10 it's that fab to watch.
