Excellent product, great cleaning and drying action
This product is very easy to use and has great suction. My carpets are dry within hours and smelling fresh even after going over heavy traffic areas with a lot of solution, the tank fills up quickly and gets dirt out of even relatively clean looking cream carpets.

I chose this over the all terrain model after speaking to Vax, since I don't need the facility to do hard floors as well (I have my trusty steam cleaner for that).

I've used this for carpet cleaning, spills and as a wet vac (for eg when my washing machine leaked all over the floor, it was sorted within minutes).

I can only assume that the previous reviewer who complained of poor suction and little water in the receiving tank after her first trial was either using it on the wrong setting, had not set it up properly, or possibly had a faulty model. By the way, it has a 6 year guarantee!

Highly recommended.

Could do with more suction!

I have only used this machine once so maybe I need a little more practice but I was very disappointed with the performance. The washing action is excellent and the brushes really bring up the pile of the carpet. However I think I may have put down too much liquid as the carpets remained wet for days. There was also very little liquid in the retrieval tank - I don't know if I have a fault with the machine or whether the suction is not as good as the old VAX units. I purchased the machine to also deal with spillages and on this showing I don't think it will be very efficient. I will try it out again and maybe use less liquid this time but my first attempt was very disappointing.

How Clean is your........Carpet ?
Fantastic...After the science bit of putting it together, which is really simple, the instructions are clear and precise, with plenty of visual help throughout, and with everything easily stored and accessible. The product also comes with solution so you are ready from box to use.

Although it did take my second attempt to actually be professional at using it, due to my own in-experience, and lack of domestic aptitude !... My Carpets were FILTHY...(they were a pale green in colour originally..)

Having recently moved into a new property with exsisting carpet that had a few dubious stains, such as wine, we think? and a blob of something else mainly in the dining room & living room plus the normal wear & tear through the hall, this machine did exactly what it claims to do.

The hall was my first attempt (and this is where I got it wrong, by using the solution trigger a bit longer than I needed to)...before you start though you will need to vaccum any surface dirt from the area.

Switch on and your ready to go, squeeze the solution delivery trigger in the handle and away you go, at this point you should let go of the solution trigger in the area you are cleaning, move over the area after the delivery, and let the VAX do the rest, and see that DIRT get sucked up ! For the difficult stains, the CleanSurge trigger will deliver a deeper concerntrate of solution, this worked really well, and those horrid stains were gone...

As the VAX does all the hard work, your only job is to manage it, as you push it back and forth, I had the doors and windows open, thinking that this would add in drying out wet carpet, but the VAX dries as it cleans, and only leaves a slight dampness to the surface, which dries in minutes..

I am so pleased with the results that I completed the hall, living room, dining room, and a rug within an hour, and only needed to top up once, and cleaning the VAX couldn't be simpler, although removing some of the parts were a bit tough to start, I put that down to it being 'NEW' ...

I certainly won't be in any rush to buy any new carpet soon, as mine are now clean and the pile refreshed, and I certainly won't worry if any of the kids spill juice, ice cream or ketchup, as this master will just suck it away....
