Oh No He Don't!
Walk on water! Certainly not for me (despite the cover!)
Mr Vesey is spot on. The lad is indeed nasal, thin, and sadly mediocre. It's my own fault. I bought this - having read the reviews - and despite my reservations about, shall we say, the vaguest whiff of choreography!
Hence the one star! I'll know better next time!

Spine tingling
"G.E.Vasey must be tone deaf and have the artistic appreciation of a disgruntled Klingon (with piles) after being attacked by Tribbles." ROTFL!! I couldnt agree more, Mr Gallagher!

You would have to be a heartless moron not to be moved by the wonderful 'Song of Peace'. I had never heard of Will Martin either, until I received an email from amazon as I had bought CD's by similar artists. I was curious enough to listen to the sound bites from the album and bought it on the spot. I will certainly be buying any subsequent ones.

No, his voice is not as strong as an older singer with more training, but I hope he never changes his gloriously pure voice by overtraining, which can lead to a loss of identity- too many highly trained singers sound so alike that it is difficult to tell them apart!

New World
New World is one of the best CD's that I have purchased in a long time. Will has a voice to stand the test of time, from the haunting melody from the LOTR. Going Home will remain my favorite since that is the very first song that I heard him sing.
You cannot go wrong with this cd something for everyone.

A remarkable talent
A remarkable singing talent, it is hard to image this mature and powerful voice emanates from a slight twenty three year old New Zealand lad, who looks even younger.

The interesting selection of songs range from the traditional Last Rose of Summer, to a Michael Nyman composition, and include arrangements of music by Dvorak (9th Symphony), Sibelius (Finlandia), and Albinoni (adagio).

The orchestral arrangements are lush and rich, but above all it is Will Martin's extraordinary voice and intensity of feeling which carries this notable debut CD. Hard to categorise, this is timeless music which should appeal to a very wide audience; or anyone prepared to put aside any prejudices against such indefinable music.

It will be interesting to see where this young singer goes from here.

Smooth Perfect Pitch
Will Martin has a very natural, smooth, calming, and perfect pitch voice!----There is bit of New Zealand 'flavor' in this album which I like very much.----This is simply a great album to own. We do not have quite this kind of 'calm' classical crossover in the U.S. anymore, and that is too bad I think.----I guess what I mean is that it is not 'overproduced', and very human!!!----Enjoy!
