Editorial reviews
Amazon.co.uk ReviewGet yourself a snappy title and a couple of marquee names (however disreputable) and you might just snag your no-budget movie a national release--as
Zombie Strippers colorfully proves. The names in question belong to porn star Jenna Jameson and Freddie Krueger himself, Robert Englund, both of whom look quite comfortable in this sleazy milieu. As the title suggests (well, "suggests" might be a mild word), there has been an outbreak of the undead in a strip club, with strippers actually improving their onstage antics after they've become zombies. (Given the number of implants on display, it's a wonder the zombies didn't keel over from silicone poisoning.) Englund is the proprietor of the place, Jameson is a star dancer, and a couple of actresses in the "nice girl" roles don't have to take their tops off, although almost everybody else does. Writer-director Jay Lee fills the movie with political gags and a bunch of philosophy references (Jameson reads Nietzsche, the locale is Sartre, Nebraska), all of which play like a lame attempt to distinguish his movie as something other than a puerile horror-comedy. Only thing is, when you try to disguise the fact that you've made a puerile horror-comedy, it kind of takes the oomph out of both the horror and the comedy. The political jibes are about as feeble as those in Southland Tales, but at least
Zombie Strippers is shorter. Shot on video, it looks atrocious, but perhaps that doesn't matter very much. --

Funny & gory zombie filmThis has plenty of violence & sick ideas in it, and some great lines. There's a lot of blood and some of the best gags I've seen in a horror movie for a long time. The gore is OTT in places but it all works well & is a very entertaining DVD.

Gigantic Fail; Zombie Strippers is not entertainingZombie Strippers seems like it can't fail; it's got strippers and zombies. However, the film is just not able to make itself entertaining, owing to the bad script, bad acting, bad video quality, and bad porn.
Most of the film looks like the bits in between the hardcore parts of porn movies, and the acting is of a par with that all the way through. Except that they never really get round to what makes hardcore porn "good"; ie, extended shagging scenes.
This film will sell by virtue of its name, but it's one of the worse films I have ever seen. It's not "so bad it's good", it's simply a poor excuse for ageing porn stars to get infront of the camera one last time. One to avoid.

So bad its goodLow budget, packed with gore, so bad its good. Robert Englund seems like he will appear in any film no matter how bad these days. But, it was fun, i love a good b-movie and this was one. A simple no-brainer film, watch on a Saturday night curled up on the sofa with a drink and chocolates!

Rot slickened pantiesNo matter how bad the acting, directing, or special effects are, this film has earned 5 stars for two reasons. reason one: hot goth zombie throwing her rot slickened panties at the wall where they stick. Reason two: she then goes on to give Robert (freddy kruger) Englund an 'erotic face dance' with lots of disturbing squelchy noises. I mean come on, that surely deserves an Oscar on its own!
oh, and they give Jenna Jameson zombie boobs.

Boobs, gore, zombies, Jenna Jameson. What more do you need?I found this film hugely entertaining. It's very silly with some bad acting, stupid dialogue and lashings of gore and nudity. And a hoot to boot. Robert Englund and Jenna Jameson are probably the best actors in this film and both of them seem very comfortable with this sort of trashy movie, Englund in particular seems to be having a ball. There are some terrific gore scenes, the fellatio moment had me really chuckling as well as some other jokes; the Nietzsche gag was brilliant. Was quite surprised by how much nudity there was, which was a bonus and although I felt the first 30 to 40 minutes was a little slow the film as a whole was great fun. Especially if you enjoy films of this ilk.
