Brilliant
I have owned this album for more than 18 months now, and it is still my most listened to album. So many good tracks on it, an emotional rollercoaster, from 'Square Go' (always fires me up for work) through to 'Where in the World'. If you are looking for bland meaningless rock, you're in the wrong place! This is thinking man's music, crafted with thought and feeling, with lyrics that have meaning - something that is difficult to find these days.

The Arc of the Curve...
Fish is, to many, that huge guy who fronted Marillion in the 80s and was responsible for a generation of Kayleighs to keep all the Kylies company. He was, and is, more than his music (and that's saying something). A huge stage presence and surprising sincerity hallmark fish as a truly great performer and, following less critically acclaimed albums, 13th Star rockets him back to the top of the hill. It is encouraging that such a melancolic subject (a marraiage that never came to pass) can give birth to such a strong and positive album. 'Miles de Besos' mirrors 'Gentleman's Excuse Me' and 'Arc of the Curve' follows in the footsteps of 'Sunsets on Empire' and all the tracks are so full of musical excellence, whimsy, power and perfect erudition that they, in my opinion, should have been singles but Radio 2 didn't think so and the occasional play of 13th Star wasn't enough to tell the whole story. There genuinely isn't a duff track here with more than a passing nod to 'Fellini Days', 'Suits' and 'Sunsets on Empire' and this music needs a long quiet evening with no phone calls to fully appreciate it for the first time! As a live performer Fish is up there with the best (he appeared with Freddy Mercury many years ago you know - Tutti frutti as I remember)and so much of the live power retains its ability to stir the soul. Buy this and then start working back through the catalogue...you won't regret a moment

BRILLIANT!!!!
What an album FISH has delivered where the latest Marillion releases have failed. An album full of great songs with stand out tracks Zoe 25, Arc of the Curve and 13th Star. Buy this and Im sure you will buy other Fish albums which is exactly what I did!

Fish - well done man!
Absolutely brilliant effort from Fish. Been a fan since Marillion days and I have to admit I think this album is one of the best I have ever heard. 'Arc of the Curve' is something else, whilst 'Square Go' gets you going big style. Having seen Fish perform live in my home town of Elgin on a couple of occasions, this album has all the guttso to blow you away in a live setting.

A superior talent.
I've followed Fish's music for ages and think of him as one of the most underrated musicians and performers in the UK. This album is hugely enjoyable and has much to recommend it. It reinstates his status as the poet of frustration, forever chasing his dreams and learning to love his failures as much as his successes. The imagery of the first track 'Circle Line' is superb communicating the imprisonment of a life lacking real meaning. The guitar at the end manages to be both mournful and beautiful, complimenting his voice well. In other tracks, such as Square-Go, he conjures up a rocky, hard beat- the lyric suggests a major movie. His voice moves from the angry to the warm and expressive tones used in songs such as Miles De Bessos and Where in the World. His skill as a lyricist is always apparent and the resulting album is a fine piece of work. br /Yet, I do find myself after many listenings, trying to remember a melody, a hook and perhaps the album lacks one great track. It has many good ones though.
