just one word--BORING
When I first bought it, I was really excited, but just after a few days, I decided I had wasted my money and sold it. It is TERRIBLE--even though the graphics are very realistic, the whole game just makes me fall asleep. Your goal is to make different species of fish breed, make new species, and find the seven magic fish. You must sell the fish, and with the money, you can buy stuff. But selling the fish is difficult, so you hardly earn any money. And the shop is lame, the graphics are BAD, all the people entering the shop are the same. br /Overall, this game is DEFENETLY not worth the 35£ I bought it at. So my advice for you is--DON'T BUY IT!!

your fish dont have to die!
just a quick note for other people who are having trouble with the speed of this game... your fish dont have to die. on the options screen where you choose what speed you want to play your game in, there is the option to 'stop time' - ideal for when you arent playing the game. you wont come back and find all of your fish dead, the game will just come back on where you left it last ime you played. br /i like fish tycoon for the breeding possibilities... however with having over 750 species of fish and the aim of the game being to find the 7 magical fish, this game can become a bit boring pretty quickly. i strongly advise people who know they can get bored easily/have no patience to avoid this game at all costs. you might get 2-3 days of fun out of it but then you will put it down and probably never pick it up again. also, you get hardly any money to begin with, and since all of the tank upgrades are very expensive you have to breed one kind of fish over and over again just to make sure your more rare fish survive! i dont think children would get much out of this game either except the fun of having their own virtual animals swimming around the screen getting older and older and older (fish dont die of old age)... and i reckon parents probably wont want to have to explain to their children why the fish can all get pregnant (male or female) just by placing one fish on top of another and hearing a kissing sound! br /overall, fish tycoon is an average game that is very basic and lacking a lot of fun elements, nevertheless with the right attitude, patience and a decent strategy i think the game can be beaten.

boring !!!
this game is not very good at all. you have a limited amount of money at the start which to buy eggs with. after buying the eggs they hatch out in your tank and then grow into big fish. as it is played in real time you have to either stay with it for ages and then sell the fish to get more money, or leave it a while and hope all the fish haven`t got old and died whilst you were away. you can change the speed but that doesn`t make the game any more exciting.

hmmmm
this is a good game and is genuinely fun at first but unless you have hours to spend staring blankly wating for fish to grow only to find them dead when you next turn the game on you may be a a little bored.
