Having always been a user of manual toothbrushes I was somewhat apprehensive before using the 8000 series from Braun. I figured that my normal toothbrush would be a match for any electric toothbrush.

I was however pleasantly surprised by the performance of the 8000. Following the first use, my teeth felt noticeably cleaner than using my regular toothbrush. This product boasts 40,000 pulsations a minute and 8,800 side-to-side movement per minute which is obviously far greater than I was able to achieve with my manual brush, whilst also preventing against over-brushing.

The built in timer on this toothbrush is also really handy, helping you to clean your teeth thoroughly by encouraging you to spend equal time on the four quadrants of your mouth. There is a short stuttering sound every 30 seconds, prompting you to move on to the next area and then a longer stutter at the two minute mark signaling the optimum time to stop as recommended by dentists.

One of the most impressive and unexpected features of this product, for me, was the battery life. Using it twice a day for the recommended two minutes I was amazed that the battery lasted 3 weeks! Even more impressive than the two weeks that the packaging states!

I didn’t expect to be overly impressed with this product but it has completely changed my opinion of electric toothbrushes. I will continue to use the 8000 series as I am extremely happy with the results. -- James Early, amazon.co.uk

No frills + 3 yr Guarantee Toothbrush
My only regret is not buying this sooner. My wife has a Phillips sensonic which was twice the price and we were reasonably happy with however although this Braun does not come with all the extra bits (which I did not want) and does not play as many beeps as the Phillips it does however ....
+ Clean better
+ Comes with spare tooth brush head
+ Have a more stable base so it doesnt topple on thin bathroom shelves
+ and finally a 2 year guarentee extendable to 3 years if you
register with Braun.

That is good enough for me!

Fantastic
I've only had this a few days but now I wonder how did I ever manage with just a manual toothbrush? Not had it long enough to comment on how long it stays charged or how long the brush heads last, but it gives an amazing clean, makes you feel like you've just been to the dentist to have your teeth polished etc. Highly recommended. Only slightly annoying thing is that it comes with a two prong plug which is not much good to you if you don't have a shaver socket in your bathroom. The adaptor's don't cost much, just be aware that you might need one then you can have it ready.
Also I must comment on the amazing price on Amazon, I paid about £24 for this toothbrush this week, yet I've just seen the exact same model in Tesco for £50!

Sparkling!!
I have never believed the hype about electric toothbrushes but my dentist recommended I use one so I decided on this one after reading the other reviews. It is brilliant!! From the first time I used it, my teeth felt sparkling clean. It is easy to use and the 2 minute timer is great. The best thing about this toothbrush is the price!! Its half price on amazon and worth every penny.

BUY ONE NOW
This toothbrush hits the sweet spot in the Oral-B range. High enough up the range to give your teeth a real good clean, but not over loaded with unnecessary gimmicks such as polish modes.

If you don't own an electric toothbrush, then BUY ONE NOW, it is the best thing you could do for your dental health! You'll save on dental charges...

If you own an electric toothbrush that's over 2 years old seriously consider buying this Braun as its brushing action is a big improvement over our previous Braun which we are replacing as it no longer holds it charge.
