Did not give it a chance
I am sorry to say that I only managed to listen to this album twice before I deleted from my iPod. I was expecting something memorable but every track left me cold.

If you are after a more accessible dance collection then I personally would spend my money on "Relish Compilation: Mixed By Headman" instead.

Not going to ring down the years as a classic, but fine enough for now
Being in my 40s I am probably not best equipped to review this album, but here goes anyway. I thought it provided nice background listening but didn't bear any close scrutiny. Man, well this man anyway, does not live by basslines alone. The dubstep genre is not one which is going to age well.

Very well produced but no melody... not my cup of tea.
Disclaimer: Let me say first that this is my first record on this type of music, and probably one of the very few in the future.

I guess when I ordered this I wanted to experiment with electronic music given the rave reviews, also I absolutely love Moby because he mixes melody & beat so well!... that probably does not mean anything to electronic music fans because moby's music is a bit mainstream, but this record is a very different game.
Everything is about the beat and I'm all about melody... and sorry, but there's no melody here, I can't imagine myself other than shouting a club listening to this album.

Being completely objective I think it is well produced, and has a very big sound... which is ultimately what drive people nuts at clubs, I believe this record has songs that work brilliantly in that environment.

I might change my mind but at this point this is not my cup of tea, but, I need to be objective as a reviewer and as I said the record is very well produced.

A great example of the genre. As far as I know.
Like many people of my age, I've always tended to associate this style of music with the sound that you hear from the open window of a badly customised Peugot 206 being driven by some slack-jawed yokel in a baseball cap round a suburban town centre: It wasn't until the Burial album of last year that I started to take a deeper interest in it.

Whilst my dancing days are long past, I can appreciate a good album when I hear one. 'Diary' immaculately crafted and executed, with precision dancebeats textured with squelchy early 90s rave synth, spoken word and brass samples. It sounds especially good in a car at night. It doesn't have the crossover appeal of the Burial album - lacking that album's air of early morning melancholy that made it appeal to elderly punters like myself - but any real music lover will find this a rewarding listen.
