awesum ghost film ......great film! BUY IT!

br /the best haunted war film in a while ... a long while!
br /...it is a low budget and a simple story - but realistically scripted and beautifully shot. the ghosts are wickid - the actors really hold it up - Ray Stevenson (Rome/Punisher) is at his best - the effects are enough to make a thoroughly enjoyable NAZI/EURO war ghost flick. some say zombie - no way - GHOST! this is a Haunted War story...
br /...simple but effective and long remembered - definitely worth the while to watch, bonus feature extras are slim but great - i also have an unrated US version also - tho this cover is way coolest!
br /Overall a high ranking war Ghost film a notch higher than R-Point, many notches higher than the Bunker and Deathwatch.

Forget zombies this is immortal time shifting Nazis!!Being a fan of all things Romero I bought this thinking it would be packed with the shuffling undead as implied by other reviews, not so. My first pleasant surprise was to see Tyres (Michael Smiley) in one of the roles. Anyway I digress, on to the picture. A troop of mercenaries are enlisted to acccompany a businessman to a remote bunker in Eastern Europe. Once there they find evidence of Nazi experiments to create super soldiers. Without ruining the whole story things go wrong from there to the end. As I said no zombies but lots of supernatural super soldiers. Not all of the film made perfect sense and the viewer is left to fill in some blanks in the plot but I enjoy a film like that, one which makes you think a bit instead of spoonfeeding you. It is obvious that the whole thing was made on a shoestring but that adds to the whole feel in this instance. Instead of lavish production and acres of CGI the sets are old industrial builings which are grotty and look as if they have stood dormant since 1945. That being said there is one moment of 'Doctor Who' effects but don't let that put you off. On the whole I say buy it if these kind of films are your thing, you shouldn't be disappointed.

Nazi-undeadThis film should have been more than it was. The premise is great, the atmosphere is spot-on, the costumes and make-up are menacing and the characters are pretty decent. This menace is somehow lost, however, at some point during the overblown final plot-arc, which is a major shame because it really looks stunning and builds up some satisfying apprehension.
br /I cannot give it less than three stars, but only because I absolutely love this sort of thing, having grown up with Wolfenstein and Doom to take me to the early hours. One day somebody will nail this idea and unleash true grim krieg.

br /in simple,a cracking film, the acting is great and the german's are rather creepy,it say's gory on the box but there isn't too much but that does not affect the film because there is some good scare's in it,would recommend this film to anyone who like's horror and it's british which is even better

Only flawed by it's endingOutpost is labeled a zombie flick but these aren't the type that eat you. Hell no! These are nazi zombies (an epic combination)
br /
br /The film is a very cool little flick about a team of mercenaries who stumble upon an old nazi bunker. Then would you believe it, the nazi's come back as ghostly appiritions to haunt and kill them.
br /Outpost manages to entertain and keep you interested throughout with characters who deserve to die and amazingly realistic set pieces. However it still manages to cling onto what makes a film about nazi's more creepy than films that are not. For instance the mercenaries stumble onto a room filled with naked, dead bodies piled on top of eachother. Disturbing and very eerie. The film delivers on bloodshed but it is a specific type of bloodshed. The type you see in 28 days later. Very dark blood and very visceral ways of extracting it.
br /
br /HOWEVER! This film has one big flaw. The ending is possibly the worst way to end a film like this. I wont go into detail but... JESUS CHRIST WHY DID THEY END IT THAT WAY!
br /Anyways special shout-outs go to the guy who played the mute SS commando. He was a super-scary villain who didn't even have any lines! Buy outpost if you want to be disturbed and nicely chilled but beware of the ending!
