Great, as long as you can tinker...The DS Real is a sequel of sorts to the DS Simply, another Slot 1 based card.
The card is the same size as a regular DS cartridge and slots in the same place. It fits a small Micro SD inside using a spring mechanism. Past cards have had issues with the spring breaking, but the Real tends to be better made.
The card will come blank in most instances, requiring you to download the firmware which makes the whole thing work. If you wish to use it for the more suspect reasons then you will also need roms.
The pack also comes with a rumble card, which doubles as a RAM pack for the DS Browser. Rumble only works in the few games that support it, though. The card can use both Micro SD and Micro SDHC cards, meaning that you can have a 4gb or 8gb card if you wish, enough to store many more files on, including movies and MP3's.
But before you start downloading DS Real firmware, I recommend you check out Sakura, which is a brand new firmware. This speeds up loading programs and has a far nicer menu system. (type M3 Sakura FAQ in to Google to find out more).
If you change the firmware this little cartridge will be all you ever need to use in your DS.

Great bit of kit, but not without hitches.I have 2 of these cards and they're great bits of kit once you have them up and running. I struggled to install the system onto the micro SD card as my computer skills are limited and terms such as "root file" mean nothing to me. A 'clever' friend helped me out and showed what to do (and like most other things it IS easy when you know how!).
Using the card is easy and I've never experienced any problems in playing games. Unfortunately I have had a number of problems with the M3 cards themselves. Of the 2 cards I have one has been problem-free and one has not. The second one I ordered simply did not work. It was replaced and the new one worked for several weeks until the spring mechanism for loading the micro SD card stopped working. It was returned and replaced with a card that didn't work at all. This has been returned again to the seller and I'm waiting for another replacement.
Bereft of my M3 card I bought an R4 card to "tide me over". This has no spring loading mechanism and I have no problems whatsoever with it. It also seems to load games more quickly than the M3 and when you change games on the memory card you can organise them alphabetically on the menu (something I was unable to achieve on the M3 cards ...tho' I acknowledge that it may be possible for someone more technologically able).
In summary, the M3 card is great (although quality control and build quality could be improved) but the R4 is better.

Great deal. Get it!Well when i got this i couldnt wait to get something on it, so i did.
I putted some games and homebrew on it.
inserted it together with the rumble pack (wich works great btw)
but then i got the message that i had to get system files.
but i don't have really fast internet so downloading the system files toulk 43 minutes. well i went outside then and charged my DS in meanwhile.
when i got back home it was finished and all ready to go.
so i inserted but noticed that the DS card would stick into it. it kept popping out (wich is kinda annoying).
Then i booted and everything went fine!
They should make the card quality a bit better. because i think if i drop it that it will break.
But it's deffinatly a Must-Have for everyone who hasnt got a Flashcard :)
(I'm sorry for my bad english. I'm belgian.)
