To the last reviewer - whateva man!I like to say each one to his own about music, the economy, life, whatever, But the last reviewer took this one outside. So what exactly makes this album very forgettable? The Nicolay produced "EMC (What It Stands For)"?, "Don't Give Up On Us"? And you say to us readers "Please keep in mind i am usually in to my UK hiphop"? and the point is? so what, we supposed to forgive you for an extremely weak review?
mate step you game up or don't bother reviewing ish - your review is meaningless.
So my two sense on the album. The production works very well with the lyrical interchange between the four dope boys - stricklin is a revelation (check aforementioned "What it stand for", "Git Sum" and "Who we be"). The skits got to be the funniest in a minute and gives the album a tight cohesion. Yes a few listens end-to-end will probably be all (before you IPOD shuffle ish) but definitely worthwhile in De La fashion. The "Angry Merch Guy" kills it.
Nice to see Masta Ace still holding it down with that "pump it in your jeep" swagger and cant wait for EMC to come around in '08.
Cop two, leave one wrapped in plastic

A Little Dissapointed - 3.5 starsLike the last reviewer ive only listened to this once (well 2x actually)
Dont get me wrong, this is not a bad album, but i was expecting better from these guys. There is many good tracks but the weak ones are really quite weak i feel and brings the overall feeling of the album down.
Ive read nothing but good reviews about this album on amazon.com and this guys review on ama.co.uk and was expecting something special.
the other reviewer says anyone who likes 'real hiphop' will like this - i really need to disagree... ive got a really good and large hiphop collection, and yes i do actually collect cd's coz i love music and hiphop - and this album really flirts with the cheesy, weak side on more than one occasion. There is many good lines and masta ace, stricklin, punchline and wordsworth with wordsworth stealing the show i feel. The production only shines on a few of the tracks here - the concept of a long running story is by no means new - masta ace seems to always choose this style now, and its probably Prince Pauls, a prince among thieves album that does this the best, but im just not feeling this at all.
The camoes, Adi, Little Brother and ladybug mecca dont add anything to the album - i was really interested in hearing ladybugs go on the title track, ive been a fan ever since diggable planets, but it is a weak track and she only gets a one or two line choras.. was a bit of a let down!
I know there is nothing much positive here, and it is wrong, i just think inless u are a heavy masta ace fan - which i am not - i would want to listen to this album, or at least some of the tracks before buying this.
Beats: 6.5/10
Lyrics: 7.5/10
Overall Experience: 6/10
This is a very forgetable album indeed.
Please keep in mind i am usually in to my UK hiphop! but my US hiphop normally consists of:
De La Soul
Tribe Called Quest
Jurassic 5
Zion I
The Roots
Early Wu stuff
Common - although not his last few albums.
Hieroglyphics
EPMD
Brand Nubian
Souls Of Mischief
most Blackalicius
early Pharcyde
One Be Lo
Styles Of Beyond
The list goes on - so im not hating on this just coz its US.
I just wanted to give u an idea of where im coming from and why my opinion on 'The Show' might not be so positive.

Believe the hypeThis is a great album - i've only listened to it once and even then not properly cos i was desparate to hear the next track. Not one weak track (well maybe one weakish track Borrow You) which is quite rare nowadays. Production is tight, maybe a bit safe at times, but it's the rhymes and deliveries that i really like. If you're into hip hop, and i mean hip hop, you won't be disappointed.
