psychadelic weirdness not for all tastes
dark sky release yet another oddity onto the market, a film even i hadn't heard about! The film centers on simon, a warlock who lives in a sewer practising the black arts; being the seventies everyone is dabbling with drugs, sex and alternative faith so simon once introduced to the swinging set becomes a huge hit; before you know it simon is out of his sewer and into a swanky apartment making preperations to become a god, as you can guess things don't go according to plan and turn nasty pretty quickly. The film is probably not for a lot of contmporary horror fans as it has quite a sedate pace up until near the end and not enough 'jumpy' moments. That said, the film is a genuine oddity (which i like!) and as usual dark sky give it a great presentation on dvd in terms of picture and sound quality and is pretty origional even now, and although weird in places pretty easy to follow certainly worth checking out.
