A good choice.Very pleased with set thus far, more expensive than other sets. Panasonic has a good reputation this make of TV was recommended to me by a television installer who has installed many different makes of TVS.I was also pleased to read other purchasers reviews prior to making a decision to buy this model.

Stunning picture qualitySuperb picture quality both on Freeview and Sky. Comes into its own when viewing HD. Spent some time researching and then deciding on Panasonic as the brand to buy and then which model in their range to go for. We are really pleased we made the choice we did. It was also easy to set up (in fact it simply does it for you)

br /The only minor comment and other reviews did say the same thing is that you need to be pointing the remote at the sensor to change channels etc. No big deal though hence the 5 star review

Panasonic TX-LZD80 TelevisionProbably being the only person left in the world who still has no idea what an Ipod or MP3 player really is OR how it works - I really tried to do my 'homework' thoroughly before taking the enormous step (for me) of changing my television set-up that consisted of a skybox and a combi dvd and vhs player linked in to an old style 32" Sony television.
br /
br /Very quickly it became clear that a Panasonic Viera model would suit my needs and that Amazon were offering this particular model at a far lower price than any of the High Street retailers. I very much like dealing with Amazon as they always seem super-efficient in their trading.
br /
br /I was lucky enough to be able to view a 100Hz model alongside this model that I was interested in but which is only 50Hz and, try as I may, I could not see any difference and therefore decided that the 'superior' 100Hz model was not worth the extra £100 odd required.
br /
br /When the TV was delivered, I was convinced that I would need to get in a TV installer to set everything up for me but reading thro' the excellent and illustrated Instruction Book, I decided to have a try and I am so glad now that I did for having connected the cables where the book said -I pushed the button and like magic - within minutes, everything was set up and working perfectly and (touch wood) has been ever since.
br /
br /The Television itself is really an attractive item which might sound a bit strange and the sound and picture quality is absolutely excellent including the built-in Freeview channels and my only regret is that I wasted all over Christmas 'dithering' when I should have gone and got it.
br /
br /So the Panasonic television is grand and Amazon -as usual - were first class so why only 4 stars ???
br /
br /Well Amazon chose a Carrier to deliver my TV that is based in Grantham which is over 60 miles from my home and who, with no contact with me at all, called at my home on a Friday afternoon when I was out and refused to leave the TV with my neighbour. They did however leave me a Card to say that they had called and which had a prime telephone number that I was to ring to arrange a suitable delivery time and with the dire warning that if I did not contact them within 7 days, the item would be returned to the sender. Thus - by the time such arrangement had been made, I was obliged to needlessly wait until the following week before I got my TV which was of course, a stupid and inefficient waste of time for everyone especially as I learnt that the Carrier was aware of my home telphone number and could quite easily have given me a call so that I could have arranged to have been homeon their first visit.

Fantastic Panasonic Quality - Great Price!Hi, I work in the field of film and TV and use Panasonic TV's all the time professionally. So it was a no brainer to buy one of their TV's for my own home.
br /
br /I wanted an LCD and one of about this size based on my living room size. Read the reviews (got the lo down from our Panasonic rep!) and this one came up trumps. Full HD (don't get an HD ready TV, waste of money!) but what really sells it are the picture and sound. IN Full HD mode (with broadcast or Blu Ray) it's a winner, breathtaking quality. The sound is also brilliant, fantastic range and it also has some kind of built in 3D/surround qualities.
br /
br /I wall mounted it and it looks fab, all cables tucked away, fed by a single HDMI lead.
br /
br /All in all a great TV, good colour, the blacks are excellent and it has more inputs than you'll ever need. Just make sure you get a virgin V+ or Sky + to upscale the normal SD TV or it will look a bit ragged. Best of all is Blu Ray, or even putting your computer through it - I can plug straight in from my Mac with HDMI and watch film on it or HD content from the net.
br /
br /John Lewis are selling this TV for £400 more, so do yourself a favour and buy it from Amazon!

Flat Screen TVI read numerous reviews and recommondations on the internet for a flat screen tv both LCD and Plasma and decided to opt for the Panasonic TX-37LZD80. Although larger more costly versions and brands with addition extras such as motion control where available, for value for money, great black clean look and use with a normal sky digital signal (with a possible upgrade to HD in the future - so the 1080p full HD was important), I could not find a better tv than the TX-37LZD80. The sound and picture is excellent and the set up for my sky+, dvd and wii boxes was easy with the number of ports available. The only problem appeared to be the quality of the freeview signal, but as I only use sky this was not a problem.
