great production but FAR too cheesy!
I want to give this album 4 stars (but amazon.co.uk won't let me give it any stars!). Anyway, my opinion on this album is pretty good.. It is'nt MY cup of tea because it's FAR FAR too cheesy and there is so much going on it wears thin very quickly (less IS more in my opinion!) - in fact after hearing 'Shock Out' rinsed to death, and then beyond.. It has really ruined the album for myself and my friends think the same. I am much more in tune with London Elektricity's more maturer 'Syncopated City' which came out the same year. Danny Byrd is probably one of the top 10 d'n'b producers of recent, and I totally respect him and his 'very busy' songs.. I could'nt even imagine how much time he spends on them (probably too much because they are a bit over-produced). Well done Danny Byrd you finally dropped your debut LP! Nice1

Don't be a snob!!!
Many "music" lovers would cock their noses up at this piece of work by Danny Byrd as soon as they heard the vocals, but anyone who enjoys dance music should give this a go. It's musically brilliant and just makes you want to move your body. 'From Bath With Love' and 'Soul Function' are, in my opinion, dee-bee masterpieces, and the vocal big hitters 'Gold Rush' and 'Feet Won't Touch' are fantastic. br / br /Lovers of Liquid Funk must buy this album!

stunning drum n bass - hospital records do it again :-)
Its always an absolute treat to find a drum n bass album that is consistently great from start to finish - and Danny Byrd has treated us to just that. For old skool drum n bass lovers there are those amazing amen breaks - just like the good old days! Mixed with this are classy vocals, interesting samples, outstanding production... just listen to it as loud as you can. It feels current and classic at the same time, combining the best from classic Bukem, EZ Rollers, and Moving Shadow through to High Contrast and London Elektricity. Even some touches reminiscent of the good parts of Pendulum (before they forgot what drum 'n' bass should be and tried to become a rock band..) br /I can't rate it highly enough, it makes me grin like an idiot every time I play it. I'm hooked! br /If you like your drum'n' bass you HAVE to have this. And if you haven't been convinced by the genre before, then this is a damn fine place to start :-)

Brilliant!
my main music loves are electronic funky house but i used to moan a lot about drum n bass thinking it was all the same and would be boring. Then pete tong played danny byrds 'goldrush' on the radio and i just couldnt get enough! so after checking out a few of his other tracks (wierd science from bath with love) and falling in love with a load of other drum n bass, i bought the album and it really is so brilliant and innovative. So many different styles on here so if you even remotely like db then i would recommend it!!

Excellent
Many fans of liquid funk and similar music may already know the strength of this album. Its been widely publicised by Hospital Records on its podcasts, radio shows, and events. A truely excellent album, I'm loving every second of it.
