WonderfulOk. Let's get down to comparisons and put this wicked album into context.
br /This is up there with Gang Starr's 'step into the arena' Tribe called Quest's 1st album, Ultramagnetic's first album, Mc Shan's Down by law', better that BDP'criminal minded', better than Slick Rick's' adventures' better than NWA's 'straight outta Compton'. Ok you may disagree whether one of the above is or not as good as Main Source's album. But one thing for sure, it will be in your top ten ol' skool. Twenty years ago, down in Beak street Soho,I heard a tune, which had the best break beat ever. Tribe did it and I bought it, but it wasn't what I heard. Twenty years later I found it by buying this album. Main Source's use of the classic break Lou Donaldson's Pot belly break is bliss on 'friendly game of baseball'. And of course you have Donald Byrd's think twice break, used to perfection in 'looking through the out door. Then linking ol' skool with the next phase we have Nas kicking freestyle on 'live at the barbeque'. Try and buy the cd version with the extra tracks. Enjoy, add it to your collection from the golden age of hip-hop.

AHEAD OF ITS TIMEJust got this album today after months of bidding trying to get it at a cheap price, still got it for £26.23 though and its worth every pounds. This is a great album, the beats are just incredible, nice banging bits and the scatching is just out of this world. This album sounds ahead of its time. A TRUE CLASSICS, rap artists of nowadays need to go back 2 skool. If you don't have this, go buy it, if not, copy or download it better yet BUY IT, peace.

Must be goodThe last time i heard this album was a long time ago. It was a raw album with simple beats and artistic rhymes. My memory of it is hazzy but i'm keen to own it simply because the last copy i saw on amazon was being sold for over £40!! So if its not for your tastes then its worth owning for the investment!pThis album is similar to the styles of Busta Rhymes' group before he went solo, Leaders of the New School. These albums represent an early ninties alternative to hardcore rap, such as wu-tang and the developing west-coast.
