Is it worth buying yet another 'Best of' Iron Maiden album?
The answer is...YES of course it is! I was initially put off as, if you own all of Maiden's previous albums, you will already have exactly the same songs as what is on this new best of album. The CD version is great for those who are new to Iron Maiden, as it's a good starting ground for those who wouldn't know where to begin with Iron Maiden's extensive back catalogue! However, I would definately recommend the vinyl version of this album to all Iron Maiden fans out there. It's a real beauty! As you know vinyl's artwork is always better than the quality of a CD, but as you open the casing up, the design of it is fantastic, all the artwork of singles and albums between 1980 and 1989 are peeping through missing bricks of a pyramid wall, as well as all the song lyrics. The sleeves of the vinyl is covered in hieroglyphs, and the best surprise of all is the stunning design of not only one but two picture discs! On two sides are pictures of the time travelling Eddie, and on the other two sides are pictures of Maiden's amazing 'World Slavery' Tour from 1984 with a mummified Eddie bursting through the back of the stage. As you can probably gather I was chuffed to bits with this new album, any Iron Maiden fan would be! They are limited edition, so get one whilst you can!
