The album,in my opinion has a unique sound, the lead singer has a voice that identifies the band, like Plant is to Zep. The classic track on this album is track 4, Fall of the peacemakers, a melodious track which results in a nice bit of guitar playing, which is dedicated to all MIA and KIA, of the Vietnam conflict. All in all a good, quality Southern Rock band, producing good quality music. Would look good in any music collection. The other CD I bought along with No Guts, No Glory was The Deed Is Done, again another good bit of southern rock. Shame I never found this band earlier. Will definatley be buying more albums by Molly Hatchet.............
Recorded way back in 1983, this disc is sometimes overlooked and it is widely held the the production sounds a bit flat lifeless. That said there are some cracking tracks on this disc "Fall of the Peacemakers" is still a live favourite to this day (and often dedicated to the veterans of the Vietnam Gulf wars)and took the band neigh on a year to perfect and the soaring epic guitars of Dave Hlubeck Duane Roland are a real joy.

br /"Kinda Like Love" reminds you of your teenage years and is so infectious you'll end up humming it to yourself. There isn't a duff track on the disc and the insrumental "Both Sides" shows the bands versatility and musical ability to great effect. After all these years i'm still amazed that "Sweet Dixie" hasn't become a cult favourite. All in All a wonderful disc sadly just lacking a killer production.
