Even better than I expected
After reading all of the positive comments about this set, I decided to go ahead and spend the extra money hoping that the quality of the Sony would be worth it. Well, I was rather nervous switching it on but I was blown away by the picture. I think that the set looks great (perhaps not the speckled finish) and it has really changed my television experience. As regards to the sound, I also purchased a Sony Cinema sound system and I just love the whole package. Very much recommended!

Stunning, an absolutely amazing TV for the price
After a lot of head scratching and review reading i opted for this TV from Amazon. As usual their service was superb and the price very reasonable with quick delivery. br / br /From the moment i set the TV up i could see it was special, at that time i had no HD sources so i was anxious to see how such a size screen would look in standard definition. I wasn't disspointed, it's upscaling engine is clearly very good with very little pixelation. The most impressive aspect for me though is the depth of colour, the blacks really are very deep and the colours bright and vibrant. Since purchasing the TV i now have Sky+ HD, WOW! seeing the full 1080i picture on this TV has to be seen to be believed, i can only imagine what 1080p from a Blueray player must look like! br / br /The sound quality is good enough although such an amazing picture deserves the benefits of a dedicated surround system in my opinion. The design of the set is elegant and stylish, the remote control is nice and menus intuitive and attractive. I really like the pivot base too as it makes plugging USB sticks or VGA cables in much easier if it's not wall mounted. br / br /An unexpected bonus! I thought the picture viewer was a gimmick that wouldn't get used but i was totally wrong! A 40" digital photo frame with remote control so the whole family can sit back and look at photos is fantastic! No messing around with USB cables etc, just pluga USB memory drive in and the TV will read your files and present a photo gallery. Brilliant. br / br /I can't praise this TV enough, even a friend who is a dedicated Panasonic fan is saving up to buy one!

Superb TV
This is a superb set in every way, picture quality is fantastic, it's nice to see Sony providing the set with some presets that are pretty close to how a normal viewer would want the set rather than hyped up for shop display. br / br /Another really nice feature is that it has a different setup memory for each individual input, meaning you can have different colour/contrast/brightness for each of your devices. br / br /Some people complain about the motion handling, especially for gaming. To be honest there are a few issues with smearing, but they are no worse than any other LCD; once I stopped looking for them they ceased to be an issue.
