Even better than expected!
Bought this programm 2 weeks ago...At the beginning i had some doubts because of the negative reviews here. But then decided to try it by myself (and finally the price is pretty good).

So, here is my review:
(1) Connected the grabber it easily with my videorecorder. (2) Installed the included Movies on DVD 7 and !IMPORTANT! Downloaded and installed the latest driver from the Magix Homepage (product page) for the videograbber. (3) Finished!

As far as i can say it works perfectly. Haven't tried very long recordings yet but within 1 hour videos everything is absolute sync. There is definitely no gap between picture and sound.

My recommendation for all people with async sound --> get and install the latest driver from Magix!!! This should solve your problem i guess. The PC shouldn't be the prob as mine is really standard (single core 2,6 GHz, 1GB RAM, GF 7600GT AGP).

At least i have to say: the captured videos are looking great - especially after cutting and optimizing them. Burning them to DVD (with menu if desired) takes only a few minutes and can be started with one directly out of the programm.

From me: 5 stars - very good tool for capturing my old video recordings! No problems!

Worth buying
This product does work and gives a lot of satisfaction to find that you are able to transfer those precious VHS tapes to DVD before they fade away or VHS recorders finally become museum pieces! My only niggles (my non-techie ability): Installing the software on Vista was confusing. The on-screen instructions did not match what the handbook said should happen. However, Vista sorted it out unaided. The editing software is more than enough in it's power and facilities for me but, again, needs patience and experimentation to get the hang of it. These are minor niggles - it works but only if you have a PC that equals or exceeds the minimum requirements for operation. After you have transferred all those tapes to DVD it seems that the product is still very useful for other facilities. The time will come when the next product will be called 'Rescue your DVD's' when superior technology is invented. A recommended buy.

Rescue your video tapes
Heading "It worked for me!"

I bought Rescue Your Videotapes from Amazon and it is was easy to use and did everything I expected and more. The product is simple just a few clicks and the videos were transferred onto a digital format. It took me a while to workout which product to buy and this product looked quality and was priced at less than the competition. It's the solution for me and "saved my videotapes!" My advice is buy it.

So simple!
Really easy to use, Makes DVDs of your favourite videotapes before they disintegrate and die. Love it!!

It does the job
I had previously wasted my money of a product by Pinnacle (a different company) that didn't work. I took a chance on this one and I am glad I did, it does what it says and it comes with all the cables u need, Yes, u need a decent computer to get it to do what it does, and your computer should be running to its top performance (meaning not struggling with spyware leeching all the memory) but this product works. I only found the editing software a bit....not so user friendly, a bit confusing, but any other than that, it's worthed every pounds/dollar.
