From Amazon.comBefore music journalists were throwing around terms like "drum bass" or jungle, the Prodigy's Liam Howlett was creating high-energy dance music by marrying sampled, pitch-shifted beats to all manner of electronic timbres. This album has it all: complicated break beats, housey piano riffs, lush analog pads, frenetic and computeresque melodies, and subsonic bass. In fact, the mélange is so dense that the material demands full attention and repeated listenings to gain a complete understanding of the rhythmic interplay. I--Michael A. Massa/I

It's an 'experience'There are no surprises here. This is a great album by a great band. The Hordes of Jericho has not dated at all and would happily sit alongside the tunes on their latest album. For all those looking for workout music for their ipods I could suggest no better candidate...

Prodigy 1st AlbumIncredible CD with enough extra unheard tracks to keep even the die-hard fan happy. The quality of sound is now superb due to the remastering.

Classic albumThis remains the Prodigy's best album and now it comes with a second CD with the 12" releases, Fire, Charly, Everybody in the place amongst other B side remixes. I personally like the original Fire mix just as much as the released version but that's just my opinion.
br /The first CD is an absolute belter. Some of the sounds and samples do sound like they came out of the 90's in terms of the various pianos and synth sounds however the breaks are timeless.
br /The running of the album blends all the different tracks and it really is an album you can just let run. All of the tracks are different using varying sounds and textures to bring together an hour of some of best dance music and one best dance albums of all time.
br /If you're not into your dance music or prefer the more eclectic mix of the sounds from Prodigy's later stuff then this may not be for you.

better than everI would not say the other reviewer is much of a prodigy fan if he cant hear the difference in the remastering ! sounds better than ever, and although some of the bonus remixes / additional tracks are not up to the prodigy polished touch - the ruff in the jungle and weather experience remixes more than make up for it. An excellent introduction to early 90s 'dance' music.

Don't botherI'm a huge Prodigy fan but I wouldn't bother with this if you've already got the original CD.
br /Give it a miss - it's pretty disappointing.
