dissapointing
I bought a Pentax Optio L20 (the 7MP version of this camera) from amazon for about £100 in 2007. Initially I was very excited as the build quality is excellent, its fantastically small and its a highly rated brand. However, I have ended up being dissapointed as too many of my pictures look soft, even though I am an experienced amateur photographer. I have now got in the habit of shooting multiple pics of any scene in the expectation that some will be out of focus and hopefully at least one will be fine. I have tried changing the autofocus and expusure settings, but nothing seems to work. Its frustrating.

Fantastic for the proce
I've been looking for a decent camera for a while and couldn't decide how much to speand on one. A few years ago I bought one for about £40 and as you can probably guess it wasn't up to scratch. But I also didn't want to spend too much in case it got lost/stolen/damaged. This camera was on special offer for £66.99, which is great for an 8mp digital camera. It's very simple to use, and gives you the option of chosing your own settings or use the automatic settings to take the best picture. Good little camera if you just want one for capturing good times - definitely not one for professionals!

A good starter camera
I bought this camera as a birthday present for someone who wanted a simple camera just to keep in the car. It is easy to use, light, and has a wide range of capabilities. The screen is large and clear, and the pictures clear and bright. A great camera for someone not habitually taking pictures.
The only downside for me was that there is no case - even a basic one - included. It needs a small leather, close-fitting case to protect it from bumps.
I'd recommend it as value for money.
