Editorial reviews

Description
Guyana-born reggae superstar Eddy Grant has enjoyed a long and distinguished career and the highlights are collected here on 'The Road To Reparation'. Taking in such classic cuts as 'Gimme Hope Jo'Anna', 'Baby Come Back' and even the eponymous song from the film 'Romancing The Stone'. Grant's pedigree in popular reggae has been enhanced over the years by anability to incorporate many other styles into his unmistakeable sound.

Same songs over and over ......
When songs are repackaged again and again we all know the music so of course it is the PRODUCT which then must be assessed as the first reviewer has . How good a product or collection is this ? Is the compilation worth having ? Only to people who have no Eddy Grant recordings on CD before perhaps . It is indeed another rip off well timed for release . It is not as good as other previous collections available . There are many songs not included here which would have made this edition of hits more worthwhile . I fully endorse and defend the first reviewer here .

in defence...
the other fellow seems to have missed the point. it should be the music that's being reviewed and not the product.

so then... if you know and love the songs of eddy grant, remember the hits and want to reconnect and hear more, or indeed, like your reggae light, poppy and singalong hook friendly, you wont be disappointed. buy with confidence.

Repeat performance?
Despite being a fan of Eddy's, what is the point of ANOTHER 'Best of' album just a few years after the 2001 ' Greatest Hits' C.D. Sounds like a rip off to me?
