Problem - laptop was getting too hot (have been worried for 2 years now!) the other day it shut itself down twice. br /Solution - buy this or a similar product as its now speeded itself up and is cool to touch underneath - the stand itself elevates the laptop (its not very wide so if you have a widescreen or 17inch laptop I would search around a bit - mines 14.4)and holds it firmly in place and at a good angle. br /Its not noisy but the blue LED lights underneath are a pointless gimmick. br /USB powered is always good as well,came in 2 days and I now have peace of mind (during the summer months!) br /Great product as I use to balance my laptop to get air underneath as it was getting to hot to touch and this acts well as a kind of docking station. br /5 stars

Why not try this
OK, so I don't own one of these. But before you go out and buy one, can I suggest you try propping up the back of your laptop on a book or something? That is what I did with my DELL Latitude and in increased the cooling dramatically. The problem with a fair few laptops is that the air intake is at the bottom, and there is not enough airflow to draw in cooling air. Prop up the back with a piece of 3/4 inch wood or something and you'll probably achieve the same effect as this. Although, I have to admit, this would look much cooler than propping your laptop up on an old drywall baton :)

Ideal For Playing Games Or Using High CPU On Laptop
I Bought The Sims 3 Pc Game, and because i have a laptop it overheated on the plastic table i had, so i bought this and it made the laptop alot cooler and it doesnt shut down anymore from overheating, very good if you want to keep your laptop cool or playing games

Brilliant
I had bought this a couple of months ago and im very happy with the product, although i like to have my laptop on my lap i still feel its important to use the fan, so i decided to use a board of some kind underneath it. br /It does suffer however from one problem, having nothing to hold the laptop to its base I.E. a bit of plastic to prevent it from slipping now and then but other then that i have no problems. br / br /Overall, the product may look flimsy and cheap (in the cheap sence that is true) but im a very heavy handed person and so far nothing has been broken and it is in full working order. br / br /

Great buy
Buying things off the net is always a risk so I always read as many reviews as possible. I heard many good things about this cooling pad so i went for it. I am so happy with it! It cools my lapotop down heaps and is pretty quiet. The neon blue lights also look pretty cool. Ive only had it for a week now and it makes gaming a lot better - i had problems with my laptop shutting down all the time due to overheating. Now its as good new and i love it. 2 thumps up.
