Peace, Love and Understanding
This is a beautiful concept album from a seasoned artist. And a poignant cry for Peace, global harmony and enviromental concern. And if this sounds outdated, well, please open your eyes and admit the relevance of Maria Muldaur's "Yes We can". br / br /The album contains fresh covers of wellknown songs in this context like "War" and "Why Can't We Live Together". Also three Dylan songs, amongst them "Masters Of War" and "John Brown". All given a solid, swinging treatment by her stellar backing band, anchored by the always inventive bassplaying of Hutch Hutchinson. br / br /The guestlist is impressive with Joan Baez, Phoebe Snow, Odetta. And some surprises in the form of the illustrious Jane Fonda, new age writer Marianne Williamson, and last but not least the Indian saint Amma. br / br /Not earthshaking and wildly progressive music, but a wonderful and resounding cry in the wilderness, directly aimed at your Heart. br /
