Filled with intriguing story lines and a smoking hot cast, iDirty Sexy Money/i focuses on a idealistic lawyer wrestling with his father's death and the family that may be responsible for it. Peter Krause (Six Feet Under) stars as Nick George, whose father was the legal counsel for the Darling family and good friends with patriarch Tripp (Donald Sutherland) and his wife Letitia (Jill Clayburgh). When Nick is offered to take his father's position with the family, he goes through a gamut of emotions: He never saw his father because his dad was always tending to the Darlings' needs; he had dated troubled Darling daughter Karen when they were younger. He doesn't want to get sucked up into the drama that is their life but, like his father, he is unable to resist both the salary (upwards of $10 million) and the Darlings' tremulous connection to his dad. But that money doesn't come without strings; Nick serves as both counsel and therapist to the family. Occasionally, he is also asked to play the role of errand boy (When favoured son and rising politician Patrick (William Baldwin)--who is married--wants to break up with his tranny girlfriend, he asks Nick to do it. And to give her a cheque to show his affection). To his credit, Nick says, "I'm not going to go into a hotel and give a tranny hooker a check." To which Patrick says, "She's not a hooker!" All 10 episodes of the debut season are included in this boxed set. Executive produced by Greg Berlanti (Dawson's Creek, Brothers Sisters, Eli Stone), the thoroughly entertaining drama has a group of characters that keep viewers glued to the screen. Karen is a boozy socialite who switches husbands often; Patrick can't stand up to his wife, even after she kinda-sorta shoots him; Tripp and Letitia have a litany of secrets that affects their marriage and their children; Nick finds himself sparring (both verbally and otherwise) with their eldest son, the Rev. Brian Darling. And whether Nick has found a friend or foe in charming multi-millionaire Simon Elder (Blair Underwood) has yet to be determined. Dirty? Yes. Sexy? Absolutely. Must See TV
This series is absolutely fabulous! The characters are excellently portrayed and the storyline addictive. Make sure you have plenty of spare time when you start watching this because once you have seen episode one, you will want to watch the remaining episodes in one go !

Dirty Sexy Money comes up top trumps over other US drama!
With the other drama series out in America at the moment 'Dirty Sexy Money' has surely come out on top. This opening season has been throughly enjoyable and has been led by the great Donald Sutherland. He shows that he still has it in him to produce a first class performance as the head of the Darling family. Themes of love, lust, murder and the odd politics thrown in give this drama something different, and I have to say at last some good television has finally come over from our American friends. br / br /May this series long continue and be enjoyed by all!

RISKY BUSINESS FUNNY MONEY ! :-))
Firstly I was a kid when Dynasty and Dallas serials were running in their glorious days, so really I couldn't compare like others reviewers did, but I remembered the feeling of those kind of tv-shows, the display of money as happiness and the guilty pleasure to see the price of power, where all this could have lead to... br / br /Nowadays the approach to this kind of world is changed, of course, so to the classic basic plot of the wealth and fortunate (?) envyed ones, is mixed with a good amount of humour: I've already watched it in the new funny Gossip Girl, and also in Dirty Sexy Money, and I always appreciate it! br /The story of the Darlings so far has been a great amusement to watch, a sort of Addams Family a little crazy and too loaded to be balanced, but still made by "loving"people not presented as greedy monsters...it's a pity it has been stopped after just 2 seasons (and this one is very short)! br / br /All in all, if you like the genre you will love it, especially the amazing performance of Donald Sutherland ( for the first time in a tv-series I think), the hilarious young twins that are always in some kind of trouble (obviously a mocking tribute to the Paris Hilton's adventures...), and the real transgender actress Candis Cayne, who really shines in the role of Carmelita, that she faces not as a cliché (as a matter of fact people loved it). br / br /The box-set has got some (not many) nice extras, like interviews or the visit at the penthouse of the family,etc, nevertheless the price is inviting for the purchase.

Good Idea... Bad TV show!
The Idea of this show is really good, and I was really exited after all the promos! But the show really isnt very good, no wonder it got axed!
