Amazon.co.uk Review
Anybody whose faith in ILost/I was beginning to waiver will surely appreciate the fourth season of the show. For this is ILost/I firing on all cylinders, showing a willingness to answer a few more questions than usual, while not being afraid to deepen elements of the mystery of Ocean 815. p The big new idea for ILost/I season four, as introduced in the cliffhanger at the end of the previous run, is flash-forwards, where we see some of the characters after they?ve left the island. This freshens the show immensely, and gives the writers some much-needed new meat to chew on. As a result, characters are more convincingly fleshed out, and more fun is had with the narrative in general. p There are still a few of the ailments that have hindered ILost/I in the past. Whenever Matthew Fox?s Jack takes centre-stage, for instance, it still tends to be an episode to forget, while one or two sub-plots are allowed to meander a little more than they should. Yet it?s a transitionary season, moving the show towards its final two years by beginning to fill in some of the blanks we?ve been lacking. And with a cliffhanger at the end that, once more, has the potential to firmly pull the rug from under your feet, it?s very clear that ILost/I has plenty more tricks up its sleeve to come. A terrific season of an increasingly bold show. --ISimon Brew/I

Lost Gets Fantastic
If you do not watch Lost or have not reached his stage in the series yet I have to advise you against watching Season 4 out of sync with the story. However if you've seen the preceding seasons this will not be a disappointment. br /Season 4 follows Lost's formula of asking as many questions as it answers but never before have these questions been of such monumental importance to the story. br /Watching this season on Blu-Ray makes the experience even better for the HD inclined and the extras this season are very enjoyable.

Truly unbeatable!
I've been working my way through the complete collection of Lost over the past few months (I never watched it when it was on TV) and seasons 1 and 2 completely blew me away. Season 3 however was slow, had unnecessary and pointless episodes and basically put me off the show a little. The end of that season though did pick up a lot and had a brilliant cliff-hanger ending so I couldn't wait until season 4. I picked up this boxset last week and I've already finished it - it is that good! I know it is a shorter season because of the writer's strike but the quality of this show has sky-rocketed and this season could be even better than season 1! br / br /Without giving away any of the storyline, the survivors are split up, new characters are introduced, a lot of answers are revealed and the introduction of the flash-forwards are a great change as you get to see what happens to the "Oceanic Six" once they get off the island and it just adds more to the mystery of the island's power. br / br /The picture quality of this Blu Ray edition varies from being absolutely stunning with a really crisp, sharp picture to being very grainy (possibly the worst I've seen on Blu Ray) in some of the more darker scenes. Personally, I'd only buy the Blu Ray version instead of the DVD one if you can get it cheap, as there isn't all that much to make it worth the extra money. br / br /Overall this season re-assured me that this is the best TV show out there and has made me really look forward to season 5 next year! Highly recommended for any fan of Lost. br /

Expensive alternative to DVD, is it worth it?
Maybe, you still get the same decent show. Which is an improvement on series 3 as it has more momentum. Having ditched the flashbacks to be replaced with flash forwards the show actually feels like it is progressing rather than milking our ever shortening attention spans. The body count is noticably higher too. br / So why go blu ray? Well as with all blu ray it needs a high def TV to appreciate it. Watching it on a 42" plasma screen that supports 1080p it looks stunning. Lost is a beautifully shot TV shows with excellent production values and it shows on screen. If you also have a decent sound setup then you will notice the sound is similarly excellent. Worth buying if you have the equipment to support it.

Amazing picture and sound
This series looks amazing in HD! Every blade of grass and speckle of sand jumps off the screen. You can see every hair on their head and on the men's beards. Every line - every freckle and all the sweat (Ewe!) The picture is five stars all the way and the sound offers dolby 5.1 or uncompressed. The extras are many including Lost in 8.15 (the story so far) and the unseen webisodes (missing scenes) This set contains commentarys, flashbacks, flashforwards and season play that are exclusive to blu-ray! All in all if you're a fan of the show it's a no-brainer!
