A good move by the Salvation Army
Hhhmmm - a few negative reviews because this is 1) not completely Christian music or 2) moves away from the tradition of Salvation Army bands and band music or 3) not up to the standard of Army bands and the Staff band specifically.

I'm afraid I can't agree - this is excellent and exactly what the Army should be doing, reaching out to people with something a bit more accessible. Reaching out and providing help and support is the heritage of the Army, after all "Heart to God and hand to man".

Over the last few years the Army and the work it does has become less and less visible, to the point where most people under 30 have no idea who or what the Salvation Army is. As a result this CD is just the sort of marketing the Army needs to remind people of its mission, its focus, its value to the community, while providing an uplifting and relaxing musical experience. Getting into the top 25 on the Amazon best sellers list is a commendable achievement and may there be many more like this in the future !

Beautiful and contemprorary sounding Album
This is a beautiful and relaxing album and I love it. It is perfect for these difficult times. It has a contemprorary feel in the production and the choice of songs is just right. This all goes to make it very appealing listening . Great too that the Salvation Army will raise money to help with all the great work they do and especially in helping the homeless.

Not the best...
This is a nice cd.
It's not the 'best brass', but is (one of) the most inspiring brassbands!!!

Their real christian cd's are just better because they're completely inspired by God!

I just hope they give the International Staff Songsters a try at this as well!

Very Poor
Either the recording was of a very poor quality or the unnamed Salvation Army Band on the CD was possibly not the real thing.

Having played in a Salvation Army Band for number of years I am well aware this is certainly not proper Salvation Army Band music (Not rounded and mellow enough) a Salvationist will understand

Very, very disappointed.

The Salavtion Army Together
A good mixture of religous and popular music. William Booth said "Why should the Devil have all the best tunes"?

Why should he the Band get over their message and it is easy to listen to.

The Salvation Army I belive are making the money not the record company.

My wife said she could listen to it easily and she is not a brass band enthusiast.

Look forward to the next one.
