Drum ProblemI got Guitar Hero World Tour (xbox 360) for Christmas and had a great time on Christmas day strumming away, however on Boxing day the red drum completely stopped working. I attempted to fix the drum using the activision download but this did not work so I am currently waiting for amazon to collect the item and send me out another. There is now a delay on the dispatch though of 4-6 weeks so I'm going to be waiting a while.
The game it's self is great and by the sounds of things my drum problem is a one off but my advice would be to buy from a store where you can return the items immediately so you do not have to wait around should something similar happen again.

Worst sequel since Alien Resurrection...As a fan of Guitar Hero 3, I was expecting good things for the sequel. Seeing the track listing I began to have doubts but then again, there are some quite good songs on the list.
Unfortunately, the majority of songs are not only dull to hear, they're dull to play too. And the songs that are interesting and should have been great suffer from badly assembled track charts, meaning that notes simply weren't timed right (to the point that muting the TV improved performance on some songs). The track listing sounds like it has been selected by an emo sixteen year old with bad taste, to be frank, and it is much worse when you play bland cloned song after bland cloned song.
On top of this, the career mode is rambling, long, and confusing. The difficulty settings appear to be entirely random, with the odd song being easier on hard than medium. I found myself bored of the game before I'd finished a career.
Then there are the boss battles. These are just rubbish, to be honest - you don't really battle properly, you just play an easy part and get a reasonable percentage on it. And you have to fight a really terrible selection of bosses - Ted Nugent? Hayley Williams? Worryingly, these are the best of the bunch.

Stop ComplainingI think its funny that the people that have given this game 1 star are only complaining about the price and not the actual game!! This game is amazing.
I have Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero World Tour and I can honestly say Guitar hero is better. Much more reactive and challenging than Rock Band 2. Also Guitar Hero World Tour has a better song list !!

Chronic pain in the neck - getting my sons Christmas PresentWell what can I say --I am one of the many who ordered before 14th Nov expecting to get a free bass guitar! Trying to get to Amazon and get any help has provided me with 2 hours frustration spent talking on the phone or typing emails to various Amazon addresses. They should be checked out under the Trades Description Act for False advertising - or is it the Guitar Hero site which provides the link with the free Bass Guitar advert that needs the criticism --whichever it is, I hope all other customers who have been disappointed get what they ordered or vouchers to compensate for the hassle we have to go through for our kids Christmas Presents!!
PS Worth hanging in there, as 12 hours later we have now been given a full refund for the missing Bass Guitar -thank you Amazon :)Guitar Hero: World Tour - Band Bundle (Xbox 360)

Superb drum kitHaving had the original Rock Band kit and not being able to play it due to the noise I was really hoping this would be a quieter kit to play. First few hits on the tom-toms I realised that the kit is not as quiet as I had hoped. However, the kit is soooo sensitive that it is possible to play very quietly by not hitting the pads so hard (something that's not natural to me).
First try with the drums and the cymbal pads were both not sensitive enough. The toms were good if a little too sensitive. Already had a midi cable (it doesn't have to be midi to USB, it can be midi to midi) so I downloaded the tuning software.
WOW! This kit is perfect now. I'm not the world's best drummer but 500 note streaks was something I could not have done on the old RB kit.
Pedal looks flimsy to start with but actually works really well, I replaced my RB pedal with a real metal base pedal so I was not expecting to like another plastic pedal.
Played the kit with RB1 and it works fine, although the game is not velocity sensitive on RB1 so the kit doesn't feel as responsive as it does in GHWT.
Only negative on the drums I can find is the mounting for the cymbals is a little flimsy and rattles a lot when struck, this was too noisy for me. Taped them and they are better now but it's not perfect. The stand is also a little flimsy.
The guitar is great, only negative is that I personally think the touch sensitive neck is just a gimmick. Apart from that best guitar I have used in a rhythm game.
The microphone is fine, works perfectly.
The game is probably the weakest part of the package, hence not 5 stars from me. Although there is this huge set list there are some hateful songs in there mixed in with some classics. The fact that in career mode you are forced to play through them all without any chance to avoid "bad" songs is unforgivable. The game is supposed to be fun! Not a chore. Still the fun songs go some way to make up for the dross.
Will be getting RB2 solus to go with this kit, I do think that's the best combination as I really don't trust the RB drums. Apart from having to get used to pads in different places you really can't go wrong with the GHWT drum kit.
